Anyway, let's get on with the story!
My Parents Are What?!
I was super happy when Mommy agreed to tell me one more story before I went to bed. I could have cheered for joy. When she told me that it was about a treasure hunt, I got even more excited! I loved hearing treasure hunt stories!
But I did not expect the story Mommy gave me. I was expecting a story that involved pirates, or people who lived a long time ago. This one, involved modern day people.
But they weren't just any modern day people though. The people in the story were Mommy, Daddy, Uncle Ben, and Aunt Abigail. People that I knew! At first, I thought it was a story Mommy came up with. As she told me more about what the treasure that they were searching for was, it began to seem that the treasure was indeed real. It probably hadn't been found, but by the excitement in Mommy's eyes, I knew the treasure was real.
But that's when I started to realize something else. Mommy's eyes showed the emotion of the story more so than any other story she's told me. Sure, she would show the emotion of the story in her voice, but never in her eyes. When this story got to an exciting part, her eyes showed excitement. When the story took a scary turn, Mommy actually looked a little scared. She even almost cried a few times!
That's when I knew that this wasn't just any old story. This was something that actually happened to Mommy. The story she told actually happened. And when she started talking about finding the treasure, I realized that this was a treasure that she actually found. When Daddy walked in at the end of the story with a huge smile on his face, it confirmed for sure…
My parents were treasure hunters!
Well, there you have it! Those are what Chloe's thoughts were when I told her the story of finding the Templar Treasure(: I may, or may not write more of these one shots, showing what Chloe thought for the rest of the treasure hunt stories. What do you think?
I am also working on another project that I plan on posting the first chapter of on Friday(: I have decided that I enjoy writing quite a lot!
