Bleed (I Must Be Dreaming)

This is a random Damon Salvatore story that I came up with last night when I was extremely tired. It is based off of the books. From the song Bleed (I Must Be Dreaming) by Evanescence.

…I fear you but spoken fears can come true…

You run through a dark forest, your only light being the moon, and when he realizes this, dark clouds cover the night sky.

You keep running. Your heart is thundering in your ears, your breathing is ragged and your sides start to ache, but you can't stop.

"Why are you running?" The seductive voice in your head purrs. "It's only me."

Yes, you. The demon that stalks me in my dreams. The blood-drinking creature that haunts me through the soul-sucking darkness of my mind. It's only you.

As your legs collapse from underneath you, you begin to hit the wet ground.

You awake in a cold sweat, thinking that, like so many other times, this nightmare is over. But you soon realize that this time you are still in the dream, that he is controlling it.

And that it has only just begun.
