Once upon a time, there was a bitter old man and his lovely young wife.
People asked the woman what she saw in her husband.
She just smiled.
'My husband is a wonderful man,' she would say, ' who loves me very much.'
Unfornunately, no one believed the young woman and she was rumored to have ulterier motives.
This made the woman sad.
'My husband does not like to talked about,' she said.
'But I will go against his wishes so you can understand why he is a wonderful man.'
Every one laughed at the woman for this, but she ignored them.
And the young woman said:
'My husband greets me every morning with a smile.'
'My husband greets me every evening with a kiss.'
'My husband holds me tightly every night.'
'My husband thanks me for the work I do.'
'My husband treats me as an equal.'
'My husband listens to my concerns.'
'My husband lets me share his burdens.'
'My husband supports my decisions.'
'My husband cares for my family's wellbeing.'
'My husband tells me I am beautiful, glorious, and radient.'
'My husband is my caretaker, in sickness and in health.'
'My husband is invested in my happiness.'
'My husband respects you all when you show him none in return.'
'This is why I love my husband.'
The young woman was unaware that her husband had followed her.
He had heard everything.
The bitter old man came up behind his lovely young wife and said,
'And that is why I love you.'
