Chapter One
"Princess Kagome!" yelled a maid running to the priness of the large shrine. She opened the sliding screen door and walked inside, closing it behind her. "Princess Kagome!" She repeated herself again.
A young girl, about the age of seventeen or so, changed her gaze to the maid. She brushed her raven black hair out of her brown eyes. "What is it?" She asked standing up and letting her kimono drop from her knees to the ground.
"It's the new prince, he's here!" The maid said.
Kagome smiled softly. "That's good," She said walking past the maid and opening the sliding screen door. "Prepare my bath and gather my accesories and kimono."
"Yes ma'am." The maid said bowing low to the ground to the princess.
Kagome closed the screen behind her and walked down the hall bare-footed. But, because her multi-colored kimono was so long it drooped under her feet.
Kagome put her hands in the opposite sleeve as she walked. "The new prince.. I woner what he's like.." She said to herself.
"Sis', he's handsome/cute!" A young girl and boy said walking out of the room. Kagome stopped walking and looked at the young kids, that appeared to be the age of five.
"Really?" Kagome asked.
"Yes." The kids said.
"Megumi, Sota. What do you think of me?" Kagome asked.
"What do you mean?" They asked.
"What do you think of me?" She repeated. "Am I nice, caring, or bossy?"
"Of course, you're nice and caring!" Megumi said hugging her older sister.
"You're definently not bossy!" Sota said.
"What do you mean she's not bossy?" Megumi asked breaking away from the hug.
"Well.. Y'know, sis' orders people around!" Sota said.
"That's because she cares about them!" Megumi snapped.
"Yeah, that's true.." Sota said.
"Yes, well I'm going to the garden." Kagome said walking to the garden.
Kagome opened the sliding screen door that lead outside and walked out, closing it behind her. She walked down the wooden steps after putting on her brown sandles and walked to the garden.
She arrived at the beautiful garden that was coated with lovely flowers such as roses, tulips, and lilly's and walked to the pink rose bush. She grabbed one of the lightly colored pink roses and sniffed it. She closed her eyes and hummed. "Mm.."
"You like roses?" A voice asked from behind her.
Kagome opened her eyes and turned around. "Yes." She said.
"Well, you look like one." The voice said.
Kagome blushed a light pink, just like the rose's color, and smiled softly. "Thank you." She said.
A gong throughout the village and castle.
Kagome looked to where the noise had come from and saw a man with two strong, wooden sticks banging the gong. "I'm sorry, I must go now." She said walking away.
"Farewell." The voice said.
