Wow its been so long since I put something on this site. Well yesterday we had an English assignment to write a story using 12 vocab words, and they honestly reminded me of Bart so I decided to write based off of that idea. Then I decided to put it on here cuz it actually is a pretty decent thing I wrote so here it is!

This was undoubtedly what Bart feared would be the outcome if he failed in his mission. The austere appearance of the world around him made Bart feel uncomfortable. The people around were cadaverous, looking like they had never seen the sun before and only knew the ash colored sky. Not that Bart could say the same for himself, he had grown up living i a world where it was normal to never have seen the sunshine, or know what a tree was. Some of the people around him actually knew what these things were and had before the invasion lived with these things. But trees and color and life were inconsequential when living in the world Bart was in. Work was the number one standard and it had to get done.
The redoubtable Black and Blue beetle in control made sure everyone remembered this fact. If anyone tried to get out of working, it would be considered an infraction and punishment would be ensued. Bart had experienced this punishment many times before, and he had never seen either Black or Blue beetle desist with punishments, despite the age of the person. Bart had known what would happen to himself if he didn't obey his entire life, and it made him feel vulnerable, especially with the collar that he had to wear, which cancelled out his powers.
Bart never agreed with the way things were being run on the Earth, but no one would try and stop the Reach after they pillaged the world. Nothing anyone could do would help after the beneficent heroes fell. Everyone thought that the stalwart heroes would save them, but it turned out they were as powerless as everyone else against the Reach.
But Bart was going to try and change everything. For months now Bart ad Nathaniel had begun to concoct a plan against the Reach. They were going to try and do what no one else had attempted. Bart was going to attempt to travel to the past, and stop all this from happening. He was going to change the past to save the future. He was going to change all the desecration and destruction the Reach inflicted on the Earth. There was no way Bart was going to fail his mission. This was not a future he wanted to return to.
