This is just a little drabble for Lowi for being such an awesome reviewer. :) Hope you like it, hon.

Lily Evans isn't sure why she agreed to follow him through the drafty corridors well after hours. She knew they wouldn't get in trouble - head boy and girl are allowed to make rounds basically whenever they feel like it. She had to admit she was a bit surprised when he came up to her saying there were a group of Slytherin third years causing trouble in an empty classroom. Though, if it was Slytherins he probably simply wanted to catch them based on house rivalry. So she followed him, knowing that despite whatever reason was motivating him, at least they'd be doing their jobs, something that she felt should be encouraged when it came to James Potter. Merlin knows that boy could improve when it came to following rules.

He stopped in front of a charms classroom and she listened for the sounds of students out of bed. She didn't hear anything despite James' insistence that they needed to check anyway. So she went into the room, feeling slightly frustrated that she'd been drug through the castle for nothing. That was, until she saw what was in the room. A table was set up in the center of the room with candles floating around it. A record player started and the Etta James song her mum used to sing to her when she was little began to play. She was sure her jaw was hanging open as James closed the door behind them and grabbing her hand, gently pulling her over to the table. She found herself sitting down and trying to wrap her head around what all was going on at the moment.

"What is all this?" she asked him, still flabbergasted as he sat across from her and poured them each a glass of Butterbeer.

"Well, I had to get you to go out with me somehow. And it seemed like the best way was to surprise you. Surprise." He gave her that cheeky grin she'd found completely annoying the years before. Now, she thought she might like it.

"You did all this just so I'd go out with you?"

"Basically. So, did it work?"

"Maybe."

"Brilliant."
