A/N: To avoid ideas like this, don't ever watch 'the Waters of Mars.' It's a real kicker. The first section are quotes from 'the Waters of Mars.' Disclaimer: I don't own Doctor Who.

("I'm not just a Time Lord; I'm the last of the Time Lords."

"It's never come back. Not now."

"Time Lord, TARDIS, same old life. Last of the Time Lords."

"Then they died, took it all with them. When the walls of reality closed, the world's were sealed."

"Gone forever."

"Time Lords kept their eye on everything."

"Only, its gone now, all of it."

"But they died, the Time Lords all of them! All of them, they died!"

"I'm the last of the Time Lords.")

"We're not just fighting the flood, we're fighting time itself! And I'M GONNA WIN!"

"But there are laws. There are laws of time. Once upon a time there were people in charge of these laws, but they died. They all died. Do you know who the leaves? ME! It's taken me all these years to realize the laws of time are MINE, and they will obey ME!"

"For a long time now, I thought I was just survivor, but I'm not. I'm the winner. That's who I am. The Time Lord Victorious."

"No! No, I've gone too far."

Meanwhile in a different universe, a parallel universe, Adelaide Brook shot herself. The Doctor, the Time Lord Victorious looked back and for a fleeting moment his face morphed into shock and realization and sadness.

But then, he changed. His eyes narrowed and his jaw stiffened.

"Adelaide Brook. You've always got to be a hero. Well, I'm the Time Lord Victorious. I can change it, I can change everything! There's no one to stop me! Certainly not, you!" He shouted, his voice ringing in the empty streets.

The blue box seemed to darken as the Time Lord stepped into her and the box vanished.

There was no wheezing groaning sound. It simply faded away, gone quietly into the night.

The next second, time changed.

The Mars base was back, Adelaide Brook and her crew returned home a few months later as they received a hero's welcome.

And time began to crack.

Donna Noble, temp of Chiswick, never touched a hand, instead the past Doctor worked with his future self to save the universe.

Little cracks appeared like old plaster coming apart.

Lucy Saxon met with a tragic accident the day before the end of the Year-That-Never-Was, she never lived long enough to shoot anyone.

The crack stretched wider and began to open.

River Song never died, in fact an old man joined CAL in the library. River Song would continue.

The crack groaned. Paradox's exploded into existence.

The Daleks were annihilated and the Cybermen obliterated. Canary Wharf never even happened. Pete Tyler never died.

The crack split wide and Reapers flowed by dozens.

The Reapers were destroyed with the power of the Time Lord Victorious. River Song screamed as her time sense went haywire and the Master clutched his head in agony. Time was being ripped apart.

The universe exploded and at the center was a wild haired and crazed man laughing, laughing, laughing.
