Moments
She stood at the table and wrapped up her things. It was a long day in the library.
Behind her she heard voices.
Slowly she turned around and saw him. A quick look in his eyes.
Like a flash. She turned back. Damn, he had seen her too – Sara was certain.
How stupid of her. She struggled with herself whether she should turn around once again. No – better not. If already this short moment - what the second look would do then.
He was new at the university. Friends had told her that he would only stay as a guest lecturer.
In the evening there was the official invitation for all students.
There she would see him again.
He was surrounded by many people. That was probably good.
Finally, he came up to her group.
He welcomed everybody and then he stood, finally, before Sara.
She lifted her head and looked at him.
Did he talk? Did she say anything?
She could not remember.
Her brain was empty.
These eyes.
They found her soul.
They saw her – as she really was.
And with it her life changed.
That easy.
One moment had been enough to change the life of Sara Sidle and Gil Grissom.
