The camera flashed with a bright horrible zap and Dolores turned her nose up at the nonsense of this interview. But the minister had asked, and realistically she had been affected. It had been a month since she had left St. Mungo's after dreaming of nothing but horses and death, she was cursed, even if she was not prepared to admit it.
Miss Umbridge, thank you for joining us," the petite blonde said taking a seat across from Dolores.
"You are most welcome," she said politely looking over her should quickly, a habit her conscious could not break.
"How long did you work in the position of the Defence Against the Dark Arts at Hogwarts?" the blonde asked, Dolores wished she had paid attention to her name at this point.
"I was at Hogwarts for one year," she said politely.
"Which is the standard amount for anyone in that particular position," the blonde said.
"I suppose it sure looks that way," Dolores said clutching onto her bag.
"It has been said that Tom Marvoldo Riddle placed a particular nasty curse on that teaching position. Are you particularly worried about the outcome of working such a position?"
"Well I never worried about the income," Dolores tried to make the situation light, it worked for a brief moment and then she heard a noise and was silent again. "I am not one to encourage such nonsense," she added highly straightening herself.
"You all seemed to suffer very different fates," the blonde continued, obviously trying to keep her audience entertained.
"How do you mean?" Dolores bit the bait.
"Quirinus Quirrell diedin 1991, Gildory Lockhart was sent insane in 1992, Remus Lupin was found to be a werewolf in 1993, Alastor Moody was trapped and locked away for that position in 1994, and you Miss Umbridge seemed to have suffered a mild form of insanity yet you are surviving quite nicely," the blonde commented. Dolores huffed out at the blonde but retained her smile.
"I will take that as a compliment," she said sweetly.
"You should," the blonde smiled. "Are you at all worried about the possibility of death?"
"Death is soething that comes to everybody, and when it finally reaches me I will be prepared," Dolores lied, because the truth was she was so far from accepting death. That is why she looked around corners before advancing forward and jumped at the slightest sound of hoofs or anything for that matter, because she never wanted to die. And quite frankly she didn't see why she ever had to, as long as she followed alongside the man that did this to her. After all is he could cure and entire class, he could easily save her from death.
