Hi guys! This is my very first fanfiction that I have ever published, so please excuse my noobishness xD If you can't already tell, this a a Camp Half-blood story (Percy Jackson)... Percy, Annabeth and some of the old favourites will be in this story, but they are not the main characters. Hope you like it! 3
Disclaimer: Some of the characters in this story do not belong to me! I am in no way taking any credit for them because they belong to the fabulous author (Rick Riordian)
CHAPTER 1.
Being stuck on a stinking hot mini bus in the middle of nowhere, is not exactly my idea of fun… In fact this has probably been the worst day of my life. I can't believe my legs are still movable. The reasoning behind my misfortune is my mom decided it was time for a change. So we packed up our things and we are now headed to Manhattan, New York. I suppose I'm lucky. Leaving at the beginning of the school year. I was going to move schools anyway, but even then, I still could have seen my friends almost on a daily bases. Now I'm going to be living on the other side of the country! Although if I had to move anywhere, it would defiantly be New York. The place is just so alive compared to Arizona.
I am lifted from my thoughts when the bus comes to a sudden halt. I look up and see that we have arrived at a gas station.
"Ellie, do you need anything? It'll be a while before we can stop again. I don't want you to get thirsty or hungry." Calls my mom from the drivers seat.
"Umm yes please." I reply. " I'll just have a bottle of water."
"Sure thing. I'll be right back." Says my mom. I sit waiting patiently, until something catches my eye. A few yards away is a shinny object. Without even thinking, I hop out of the vehicle, and make my way towards it. Only as I get closer, do I realise that it is a necklace, with a rusty music note charm... 'Why would this be out here?' I silently ask myself. 'I should probably leave it. Someone might have lost it'. Curiosity gets the better of me, so I slip it in my pocket.
My mom comes back after what seemed like no time at all. She hands me the water bottle and continues to drive. I find myself take the necklace and put it around my neck.
"Where did you get that?" asks my mother while looking though the rear view mirror.
"Oh- uh… My friend gave it to me as a going away present" I lie. Luckily, she doesn't seem to find a flaw in my argument. The day continued slowly, with a small break here and there. Finally, night came, and soaked up the hot sun. The last thing that went through my mind was a strange, new melody. It was almost as if an angel was singing to me.
Sorry for a really short chapter... Hopefully in the future they will be longer, but for now... Anyway ahaha :D
Im trying really hard not to sound silly here, but reviews would be greatly appreciated! I just would like to know what everyone thinks of my story and whatnot. Especially if you're helping me make it better 3 Feedback makes this whole thing a lot easier :)
Until next time... STAY AWESOMEEE
