Standing in the Middle
One is gentle- the other, rough,
Yet I love them both the same.
When the time comes will it be enough?
Whose heart will I make my claim?
I'm not good enough for them,
Both to good to be true,
And yet it is my heart,
They are trying to woo.
Standing in the middle
Trying to decide,
Which of you holds my heart,
With whom I can confide.
Inside I'm being torn away
As the battle rages on
I wish for both of you to stay,
Right where you belong.
Before they start to drift
I will have to make my choice
Who do I love the most?
I will have to raise my voice.
They wear my love as a token,
As do I, with out shame.
Some ones heart will be broken
Things will never be the same.
So who will it be?
I know you both are waiting.
I know you both can see,
That I am hesitating.
I am getting ready
The choice is almost made
My answer will be steady
My true love will never fade.
