A/N: The new Naruto chapter made me kind of glad that Sasuke actually cares about Team Hebi like how he cared about Team 7.
Sasuke sighed as he watched Karin and Suigetsu yelling at one another over something meaningless, with Juugo looking on in silence.
He hated it when they acted so immature like this; they weren't three-year-olds, for crying out loud!
"SHUT UP, BOTH OF YOU!" he snapped, immediately ending the heated argument between his comrades.
"You seem upset, Sasuke-kun," Juugo commented, as calm and stoic as ever. Even though Juugo usually kept to himself and followed orders faithfully, Sasuke couldn't help but feel a bit pissed off by his comrade's cool attitude.
"I'm...I'm sorry if I upset you, Sasuke..." Karin called from behind Suigetsu; Sasuke wasn't oblivious to her desires, but he had no interest in her. Instead of just hurting her feelings by turning her down, he just pretended like he didn't hear her most of the time. The red-haired girl tossed Suigetsu a furious look before walking past him to be by Sasuke's side.
If Sasuke had to categorize the members of his little group as a family, he would be the 'hard-working stern father', Karin would be 'the annoying slutty single female neighbor who hits on the stern father and argues with the kids because she's actually stupid', Juugo would be 'the lonely kid that sits in the corner and plays Leap Frog', and Suigetsu...he would be 'the problem child'.
"SASUKE, IT WAS ALL KARIN'S FAULT IN THE FIRST PLACE!" Suigetsu exclaimed, despite the fact that everyone else had put that meaningless little incident behind them already.
Unfortunately for Sasuke, Karin wasn't very good at ignoring slander about her. "What did you say? How was it my fault? You threatened to use your water-based powers on me in various sexual ways!"
Sasuke sighed and covered his eyes with his hand. Ever the curious one, Juugo stopped and watched the argument start up once again. Sasuke noted that the orange-haired young man seemed to actually enjoy seeing Suigetsu and Karin verbally tear one another's throats out.
"I never said that! You insulted the color of my hair, you cross-dressing hippie!" Suigetsu snapped, waving his arms around.
No one knew what the hell Suigetsu meant about a 'cross-dressing hippie', but Karin wasn't going to take it.
Screaming like a wild beast, Karin jumped on Suigetsu and started clawing at his face. The poor guy was so surprised by this that he had forgotten he could just turn to water and slid out underneath her, and his pale face was at her fingernails' mercy.
"...They make a nice couple." Juugo remarked, trying not to laugh.
Sasuke nodded with his third sigh, the deepest of them so far. Still, it was hard for him to truly hate those two, despite all their flaws.
Team Hebi was made up of a wet drug addict with a sword fetish, a female pervert, a gentle giant, and a man with a desire to kill his own brother...
They weren't perfect, but at least they had each other.
They were Sasuke's new friends...they were his new family.
