It was a brand new day. Mikan was waiting for her boyfriend, Ruka for an hour now. Mikan knew today was her birthday, but did Ruka? Mikan has been waiting for him for an hour when she finally left. "Some kind of boyfriend he turned out to be!" Mikan grumbled. She went to her friend's house, Hotaru, to celebrate her birthday there. Mikan was thinking all the excitement she was going to have. When she door belled, there was no answer. She door belled again, but still no answer. She was wondering why there was no answer, so she opened the door herself. Mikan went to Hotarus room when she saw something Mikan will never forget. She saw Ruka and Hotaru kissing right before her eyes. "I can't believe you. The both of you!" Mikan said this with angst. "I can explain…" Ruka answered. "No. There is nothing to explain. It's all clear. And to think I would wait at my house for an hour on MY birthday, and you never showed up realizing you were here all along with my so called BEST FRIEND!" Mikan shouted. "I'm so sorry…" Hotaru expressed with regret. "No. Sorry is not enough for me to forgive you. The both of you!" Mikan explained. "Mikan, I love you! Im so sorry for this…" Ruka said. "How long?" Mikan asked. "How long what?" Ruka asked. "Oh, don't play dumb with me. How long has this affair going on?" Mikan asked with her lip pinched. The both of them were silent. "HOW LONG FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE!?" Mikan demanded. "two months." Hotaru answered. "Ruka! If you wanted a break up why didn't you do it from the start? And you, Hotaru, my bestest friend, why did you not tell me this. All of this. I could have understood." Mikan said with tears coming from her eyes. All three of them were silent for a long period of time. Mikan left walking all alone in the park, when an old friend showed up. "Hello, stranger" A certain someone said. Mikan looked up to see Natsume sitting beside her on the grass. "Natsume, what are you doing here? Werent you at the States?" Mikan asked. "I just wanted to drop by here for my business meeting before I come back." Natsume said. "Oh. Im so happy you're here. Iv been having a rough day." Mikan told him. "Hmm…I see. Well happy birthday, Mikan." Natsume said handing out a wrapped present to her. "You shouldn't have. Thanks!" Mikan said. She then opened the present to see sweet chocolates. "Chocolates. My favorite" Mikan thanked. "No problem. You want to go out while I have still time?" Natsume asked. "Sure. Why not!" Mikan agreed.
