This is the first time i've submitted anything, so constructive criticism would be awesome! Im just getting back on my feet as a writer, so i know that this here need a lot of help, but i'd really like some feedback!
"Cass, what do you think of her?" Molly inquires, cradling a pure white kitten to her chest. She sees him kneeling in front of a small cage in the back corner of the shelter, head tilted like it always is when he is in deep concentration. The cat in her arms begins to wriggle as she steps toward him.
"Who is this, Cass?" remarks Molly, setting her downy bundle back in its temporary home, before gliding over to Cass's side.
"He's very bright and affectionate, Molly. He makes for good company…" explains Cass, as a fluffy grey and white kitten curls its face into his hand. There is a moment of silence before a soft prrreet noise is heard, Cass looks rather startled and Molly laughs softly.
"Will we be adopting one, Cass? I think Toby would like the company," Molly suggested as she gently lifted the little blue eyed kitten, and nestles him in her arms. Cass merely nods, looking up at the both of them, blue eyes filled with love and wonder.
"Lets take him home with us. May we name him Camael? After my brother?" Cass offers as he stands, hovering by Molly's shoulder. She deliberates for a moment, her thoughts drifting the snowy bundle she held earlier. Though looking back into the tiny gray's oceanic eyes, she knew what her decision was.
"Of course. Welcome to our family, Camael."
Note: Camael is the name of an Archangel, the name means "One who searches for God"
...I thought it was fitting.
