My shortest story yet, but I'm pretty content with it. A bit OOC but not much.

Sadly I own nothing

Takes place before Dumbledore's Death

"How could you?!" Her scream echoed through the Slytherin common room. "Draco Lucius Malfoy, I asked you a question, dammit, answer me." She demanded, she did not notice all the Slytherins had turned to look at them, but she did not care. He betrayed her, he promised her, he lied to her.

"Pansy, calm down, you're acting like my mum." He tried to calm the screaming girl down. "You're making a scene." He hissed through gritted teeth. "So, just calm down."

"You want me to bloody calm down?"

He nodded. "Yeah, that would be nice."

"Too bad it's not gonna happen. I thought Malfoy's always keep their promises."

"Pansy, I couldn't. I tried too, but I couldn't. He would have killed, me, my mum, and you." He sighed, praying that she would understand.

"Draco, so you did this for me..and your mum?" She asked, looking like she was on the verge of tears.

He nodded. "Yeah..but mostly for you. Come here." He gestered to his lap. He smirked as she sat down, he hoped she had forgiven him.

She sighed. "It's all gonna change..isn't it?"

He nodded. "Sadly, it is."

"On the train, I-I didn't believe you when you said you might not be back at school next year, I now that's my only fear.I believe you now." She cried, sobbing into his chest. He wrapped his strong arms around her.

"I'll never leave you, Pans, I never will."

"They all leave."

"Who are they?"

"His followers, deatheaters, they all leave. They're never around, they're always with him."

"I'll be around as much a possible."

"Sure, you will. You already avoided me the whole year."

"Pansy,I didn't want to tell you this, but I won't be here when you wake up."

"Why?" She began to cry harder, and pulled her head away from his chest.

He reached over and wiped a single tear away with his thumb. "It's time."

"No," She whispered. "It can't be."

"I finished a few hours ago, tonight deatheaters will be here."

She shook her head. "No, I don't believe you, you're lying."

"I wish I was." He looked into her eyes, he saw hurt, and sadness.

Thier conversation was now in whispers, so no one can here.

"Promise me Pansy, promise me you'll stay in your dorm, promise me you won't do anything stupid. Promise me, you'll wait for me, I'll be back..one day."

She leaned forward and kissed his lips softly, before he could kiss back, she pulled away. "I promise, darling, I promise."

Anyone who went to Hogwarts, twenty years ago would tell you that Draco and Pansy reminded them of one couple. Narcissa Black, and Lucius Malfoy. They did everything that Lucius and Narcissa did, they talked like them, they argued like them, and they loved like them. A love that no one besides them understood. Pansy's promise, meant more to Draco then anything else.

"Pans, I'll be right back, I need to do something." Draco raced to his dorm, and grabbed a small box. He ran back to her.

He got down on one knee in front of her, and smirked his famous smirk,

"Pansy Marie Rose Parkinson, you are my best friend and I believe you are my soul mate..I would be honored if you would be my wife." Everyone in the common room was now watching them. Pansy looked down at the green and silver ring. It was his mother's engagement ring. She knew it had been in the Malfoy family for decades.

She was still crying, not out of sadness, but out of joy. "Yes, yes I will Draco." The whole common room started cheering. Draco picked Pansy up and spun her around. He kissed her softly and looked at the clock. He laid her down on the couch and kissed her again.

"It's time."

"No," She cried.

"Pans, I'm sorry I'll be back for you, I love you."

With that he strutted out of the common room, leaving Pansy behind. All she wanted was one more moment/
