DM Time for Vaccines

The girls slowly trudged their way downstairs along with all the minions. Today they were getting their vaccines. That meant everyone having an injection put into their arms. Reluctantly, everyone walked out of the Gru residence, and down the road to the local GP.

Gru noticed that all the minions along were with the three girls. They seemed to be filling up the whole waiting room. ''Dave the minion'' the doctor called. Dave slunk his way over to the doctor's room. He came out with a small plaster over his arm, he was rubbing it and wincing at the same time.

''Kevin the minion'' the doctor called next. Kevin also came out with a small plaster over his arm and wincing. This went on with the rest of the minions. Then it was each of the girl's turns. ''Margo Gru'' the doctor called. Margo bit her lip as the needle went into her arm.

She couldn't decide whether this, or the pain from breaking her arm once upon a time was worst. Come to think of it, it was the needle or a flu bug. ''Well done, Margo'' Gru said as she walked back to him. As the doctor came to see who was next. Edith smiled evilly at Agnes and said in an evil voice.

''How about a good luck hug from your big sister?''. Agnes suspecting nothing found herself being spun around until she wobbled right up to the doctor's room. ''Looks like you're next Agnes'' the doctor said. He led her into his room. Edith saw Agnes wincing as she walked out again.

''Er, bad news Mr Gru'' the doctor said, ''I'm afraid I've run out of flu shot, so we'll have to reschedule Edith's for another time''. ''Ok'' Gru sighed. He'd been hoping to get everyone done at once, but he supposed there wasn't really any choice. But Edith smiled to herself all the way home.

She was safe until her rescheduled vaccine. A couple of days later, Edith found herself curling up under her duvet and shivering like mad. ''You're got de flu I'm afraid Edith'' Gru said ''you'll have to stay in bed. I don't want anyone else catching it''. Agnes passed by and said sweetly ''How about a good luck hug from your little sister?''.

Edith lay back in bed and groaned. Her trick had backfired! ''I wish I had gotten that last flu shot'' she moaned ''that tiny prick would have been so much better than this flu''.

Edith closed her eyes and vowed that she would be more careful whenever she played any tricks on any of her family''.
