Pairing: BJ/Charles, BJ/Hawkeye, Kellye/OFC

Disclaimer: I don't own MASH. If I did, it would've been even slashier than it already was, if that's humanly possible.

Summary: We all have our little secrets…Hawkeye POV

A/N: I'd like to apologize for my previous version of this story. I never meant to be offensive. Thank you Verlaine and doc (and believe me doc, I never thought I'd thank you) for pointing out my mistake.

Dedication: For Lucy. Merry Christmas! I'm sorry it's short, but my MASH muse doesn't want to help me.

We all have our little secrets. We all think no one else knows them. But all you have to do to learn them is either a, be very observant or b, be well-connected in the gossip chain.

I'm c, both.

You don't believe me? Well then, I offer you some examples.

Exhibits A, BJ and Charles. BJ thinks I don't know that he has a thing with Charles. They're discreet, but it's hard to hide when you share a tent. That's how Charles knew about BJ and I, even before BJ told him. Charles doesn't think that anyone (aside from BJ, of course) knows that he's attracted to men. I'm sure his family wouldn't approve, and neither would anyone in the high-class circles he associates with. But again, it's hard to hide when you live in such close quarters.

Charles also doesn't think that BJ knows how guilty he feels. BJ doesn't know that I know that he knows (confusing, isn't it?). Charles knew that BJ and I had a thing, and he felt that if he acted on his feelings (which I knew he had before he told BJ) then he would split us up. He hasn't, of course. I wish they would just tell me, but I don't mind.

Exhibit B, Kellye Nakahara. She thinks that no one knows about her relationship with Nurse Ball. Kellye was never popular with the men in the unit. I used to think that that was all there was to it--she was unpopular. It turns out that she's more attracted to women and didn't even want a man. Nurse Ball just transferred in (and I don't even know her first name) but she and Kellye hit it off immediately. I've seen the two of them sneaking away from camp together, and heard the other nurses gossiping. Their secret isn't as secret as they'd like it to be.

My own secrets? I'm sure someone knows them. I don't know who knows them, which is just fine with me.
