Saying Goodbye

Larry was packing some of the little things from his office when he heard a soft knock coming from his opened door. Looking up he smiled catching sight of Amita.

"Amita. Come in please." Larry said moving the full box to the floor.

"Hi Larry. I just wanted to stop by and wish you good luck on the mission."

"Well thank you Amita. I was actually hoping to speak with you before I left." Larry was speaking hesitantly, resting one hand on his forehead and the other over his mouth while he thought over his next words.

"What is it Larry?" Amita asked, leaning against the desk. He came over and stood next to her.

"It's about Charles… I don't wish to be cliché and say that I'm asking you to look after him. However we both know that Charles can get…"

"I know. Don't worry Larry. I'll be there for him."

"I have no doubt that you will be. Charles truly cares for you."

"He loves you like his own family."

"Well it has been 17 years." Larry said with a reminiscent smile.

"Take care of yourself Larry." Amita said softly with a sincere smile on her face.

"Amita, thank you for your support in this endeavor."

"Everyone deserves to have their dream come true. I'm just glad that I could help."

"If you ever require my assistance in any way don't hesitate to ask."

"I'll remember that." Amita paused before pushing away from the edge of the desk. "I've got a meeting to get to."

"I will see you in 6 months." Larry smiled. Amita had tears in her eyes as she shared a hug with Larry.

"See you around Larry." They weren't going to say goodbyes because this was not final. He was going to come back.

"See you around Amita."

"Am I interrupting something?" Charlie smiled, walking into the office.

"Nope, I was just wishing Larry good luck. I have to get to my meeting." Amita said, she gave Larry another small hug then walked out of the room. "I'll see you later Charlie."

He watched as she left the room then took her place next to Larry by the desk. "Ready to head over to Don's office?"

"Lets go." The two stood up and head towards the door. "You know that is quite a young woman you've got interested in you."

"You've noticed too then?" Larry turned off the light switch and closed the door behind them. To be untouched for the next 6 months.
