"Come on with me, there's something I want to show you."
"Where, in the woods?"

"Nah, I think I'll stay here."
"Where? Here? With Ez?"

She turned and walked away without looking back. She started at a slow pace, but she was practically sprinting by the time she reached the lodge.
"Hey, Kat, you seen Ezra?"
"Yeah, he's pouting in the kitchen."
He was peeling carrots. It was the only thing that he could think of to do to keep his mind off what Daisy was doing with David, and the peeler could hurt him the least.
"Ezra, you in here?"
"Daze, that you?"
"Who else would it be?"
"Whatcha doing here, why aren't you with Dave?"
"He creeps me out."
"Really? I could have sworn you liked him."
"Is that a hint of jealousy I here in your voice?"
"No, yes, maybe."
"Just one question for ya Ez, what exactly did you tell David about us?"
"I didn't tell him anything, he inferred that we were together, I didn't deny it."
"Do you want us to be together Ezra?"
"You know I do Daze."
"No, do you want us to end us like Shelby and Scott?"
"We aren't them Daisy, we're different. Is that why you turned me down in the boat house? Because you're afraid?"
"No! Yes... maybe. Ezra, you know I like you better than anybody here, but I'm just not sure that I'm..."
"Daisy Liponowski speechless, never thought I'd see the day."
"Whatcha gonna do about it?"
"This..." and he kissed her. She just stood there, staring at him. She took one step forward, and kissed him, much more passionately that he did her, and he obliged willingly.
"That I liked."
"Is that a yes?"
"To what?"
"My question still stands."
"Then yes...with all the complications, I'm ready Ezra, thank you for making me.
