I was nine when the five year old girl came onto the ship, she was the daughter of one of the important officials that worked with Daddy. At first she seemed a bit annoying, and Daddy didn't like her, but then she kind of facinated me.

"Hello." She had popped up out of nowhere one day when I was writing in.

"Hello." I said, confused as to why there was a girl in MY room.

"Who are you?" She asked.

"I've been on this ship since the day I was born, who are you?" I replied.

"I'm Eliana. You?" She asked, shinning her emerald green eyes at me.

"Junior." I replied.

"Whatcha doing, Junior?" She asked looking over me.

"Can you not?" I said, putting my notebook away.

"Do you want to play with me? It's not really a question because your Daddy said you have to." Elaina said I sighed.

We ended up playing with each other for the rest of the day, and we hung out for the next nine years. She didn't care that I was raised to be evil, and I didn't care that around her I became the nicest boy ever. I had to admit as she could older she got really cute. I remember once when she was thirteen and I was seventeen she came over and we were watching crappy movies together.

"So, did you ever ask out that girl from your class?" She asked.

"Do I hear a bit of jealousy in your tone?" I asked, and I caught a blush before she reached over and hit me with a pillow.

"Does that give you your answer." She laughed and felt my stomach jump, no that wasn't right.

"Yeah it does. You love me." I sang song in her ear and the blush returned.

"Yes, you're mine." She said and leaned over pecking my cheek. I felt my own blush rise to my face and really hoped the low lighting made it hard to see.

The day before I left for the academy I had a fight with my dad. He wanted me to drop Eliana out of my life because she was making me soft, and I left with a slam of the door and large groan. I didn't care what time it was I walked over to Eliana's section and knocked on her door.

"Junior, what are you doing here?" She asked, rubbing her eyes. The fourteen year old looked adorable, she had a large sweatshirt of mine on.

"I have to leave tomorrow morning." I said out of nowhere.

"And you came here to remind me? I've been watching the clock for a year now." Eliana said and she seemed annoyed, she pushed me into her room after we heard someone in the hallway.

"I had a fight with my dad." I said, rubbing my hands together.

"I figured as much, what was it about this time?" She asked, shutting the door and turning towards me with crossed arms, I was back against the door.

"You." I whispered hoping she wouldn't hear. She stepped closer to me, slowly leaning closer to me and I couldn't help but think about closing the distance.

And I did, I pulled her towards me and let four years between us fall down the drain as I kissed her sweet, sweet lips. She leaned back against me pushing me into door and as I bumped my head she quickly pulled away. "Junior."

"What?" I asked, reaching for her but she kept backing away.

"You're going to the academy tomorrow for four years." She said and I nodded like she had just told me my hair color was brown or that my eyes were blue, which they obviously were.

"So?" I said, finally grabbing a hold of her arm.

"Let go of me." She shouted and I stared at her blankly.

"Why are you acting like this?" I asked. Her eyes were holding in the tears, they drooped with sleepiness but she still seemed to manage not letting any loose but it gave her eyes a glossy look and she must of had blurred vision.

"Gosh Junior, can you stop being selfish for just one minute? You're going to be leaving for four years and you decide the night before to prance your butt in here and kiss me for no reason at all?" She was practically screaming, as she got louder I watched a few tears fall and it broke my heart. Did I just say that, maybe Dad was right maybe I am soft.

"You know, just go." She said, pushing me out the door.

"Fine then!" I shouted as she slammed it in my face. I ignored the guard looking at me oddly and headed off to find a place to crash. She and I both acted like nothing had happened the next morning. She and I said our goodbyes, hugged, and then I left for the academy.
