PROLOGUE
Millenniums ago, a great evil arose from the depths of the Digital World. It brought chaos and destruction across the land. Many courageous Digimon, angered by the monsters recklessness, challenged the evil beast, but lost their lives in the process. Not even the Divine Beings of the North, the West, the East, and the South, were capable of defeating the monster. In desperate need of salvation, the Divine Beast of the North entered the human world to seek help from the humans. One boy heard its plead for help and he, along with three others, descended into the Digital World. The four humans, shocked and angered by what the monster has done, swore their loyalty and their lives to the Divine Beasts. They promised the entire Digital World that they will defeat the great evil that has been bestowed upon them. The Four Great Beings, humbled by the humans courage and dedication, presented them with partner Digimons, in hopes that they will be able to defeat the monstrosity that came to be known as Millenniumon.
The battle between the chosen humans and Millenniumon raged on for days. None of their attacks seemed to affect the evil Digimon and the human warriors were growing weary. Millenniumon was too powerful and there was nothing that they can do to stop him, but that did not stop the humans. They continued to fight to the very end until their own bodies could no longer take the physical punishment. With all hope lost, the humans hearts and their will to fight allowed them to fuse with their Digimons to become four all powerful beings. With their new-found powers, the four warriors were able to defeat Millenniumon, but not fully destroy him. The four humans, concerned that Millenniumon would one day again reek havoc against the Digital World, trapped its souls within another dimension, sacrificing themselves in the process. After their great sacrifice came peacefulness. Many were saddened by their death, but their heroics will be remembered forever. The Digital World will always remember them as The Heroes of Courage.
