Author's Note:
Time for another fun adventure with our favorite detective cyborg, Lt. Gadget, his niece Penny, and his dog Brain. Off on another mission to fight Dr. Claw and his evil global crime syndicate, MAD.
So without further ado, go go gadget fanfic!
Our story opens today in Istanbul where we see our heroes, Inspector Gadget, Penny, and Brain taking a taxi back home to Metro City.
"Boy Uncle Gadget, this has been some vacation." Penny said.
"Yep it sure has Penny." Gadget said "If it hadn't been for me winning that cruise trip in a raffle, we wouldn't have had any family fun."
"That's true Uncle." Penny said "Too bad Brain got seasick and we had to end the cruise early."
"That's okay angel." Gadget said "We can finish the rest of the week at home with family, friends, pizza, ice cream, and bike riding."
Finally, they arrived at the train station where they were to catch the train back to Metro City. They got off the taxi.
"And not all is lost precious, we can still get home on the Oriental Express." Gadget said.
"Wow!" Penny said carrying her backpack "The real thing?"
"You bet we are." Gadget said "Now come on you two, we don't want to miss our train."
"This is gonna be great right Brain?" Penny asked her dog.
Brain was carrying the luggage.
The Gadget's had finally arrived in the train station where the Oriental Express was waiting for passengers to board the train.
"Let's hurry up!" Gadget said to Penny "We can drop our luggage over there with that porter. Hopefully, Brain won't get train sick too."
"I didn't even know it even came to Istanbul anymore Uncle Gadget." Penny said.
"Usually it doesn't. But apparently for us, there seems to have been a request by the princess of Clawzillvania to bring her own private train car to Paris, so they made a little exception. Looks like other than riding this amazing train, we are gonna ride with royalty."
Naturally, Penny and Brain had their doubts.
"No pets allowed." Said the train manager "You're dog will have to ride in one of those cages. We can't have filthy animals on the train."
"Mmmm." Brain whimpered.
"Oh that's okay Brain, you'll be safe in there. Mommy will visit you and bring you lots of goodies until we get home." Penny hugged Brain and kissed him on the nose six times.
"Come on Penny," Gadget called out to his niece "We need to-"
Just then, something rang. It was Gadget's hand.
"Wowsers! That's the top secret Gadgetphone." Gadget pulled the antenna from his thumb and answered the phone "Yes Chief? You're where? Hang on, I'll be right there!"
"Looks like Uncle Gadget has a mission, we'd better look into this." Penny told Brain.
Gadget went to the station platform where the Chief said to meet him. A man was selling tea. He saw a vase and opened it up, there was Chief Quimby.
"Cheif Quimby, what're you doing here in Istanbul?" Gadget asked.
"Sorry to interupt your trip home Gadget, but here's your assignment." Quimby handed Gadget a note.
Gadget read it "Professor Von Slickstein will be traveling on the Oriental Express departing Istanbul today and heading home to Metro City. It is also believed that MAD Agents will try and kidnap him. Your mission is to escort this guy safely back to Metro City and prevent these MAD Agents from getting to him. This message will self destruct."
"It is very important that you don't let any of the MAD Agents get to the Professor." Quimby said "You must keep him safe until we can send reinforcements to help you."
"Don't worry Chief. Inspector Gadget is always on duty." Gadget tossed the message back into the vase and it blew up into Quimby's face literally.
"Why me?" He asked himself.
Gadget, Penny, and Brain boarded the train, just as soon as Gadget tossed the message away.
MEANWHILE...
Deep in the lair of MAD, was none other than Inspector Gagdet's arch-nemesis, Dr. Claw, leader of MAD.
"My agents are everywhere on this train." Dr. Claw said to his MAD Cat as he looked at the screen. "There is no way Professor Von Slickstein will slip through my fingers. Soon, all of Slickstein's secrets will be MINE! Even my arch-nemesis, Inspector Gadget is there, like a fly in a web. Before he even knows what's going on, I will be rid of him once and for all! Yes, my pet everything is going according to plan. Soon, the world will be mine and I'll finally be rid of Gadget once for ALL!"
"Rrroww." MAD Cat prowled.
Claw was so determined in this, he figured it couldn't fail. There were MAD Agents on every corner, and Gadget didn't even notice it. Would Claw's plan work? Would he capture Professor Von Slickstein and destroy Gadget?
