Forbidden Twain

Disclaimer: Death Note is the property of Tsugumi Ohba, Takeshi Obata, Shueisha, VIZ Media, Madman Entertainment, and others I may have missed. I don't have any claim on it. Dear God, I hardly even dare write DN fanfiction; the series is so amazing, and I am so unworthy.
Also, the dialogue idea, though slightly different, came from jill the's Harry Potter fanfiction, "On a Hill at Midnight, In Seventy Words," which I really urge you to read.
Warning: Twisted, incomprehensible romance. Then again, maybe just twisted.
The two of them were as evenly matched a pair as the world had ever seen. Their bond spanned wisdom and folly, simplicity and complexity, ambition and apathy; an impossible life of duality existed between them.
"Perhaps."
"Now."
"You are." Cunning.
"Not only." Fascination.
"Come with me." Cold calculation.
"You mock me." Warm reproof.
"What binds a world?" Eagerly euphoric excesses.
"This has been forbidden." Trusting lost truth.
Doomed it was because perfection could not long survive in an imperfect universe: One had to leave if the other were to stay, or so read the future in stars far away.
A/N: Too obscure? Or completely pointless? Please share your thoughts with me! Thanks for reading!
