Kakashi frowned as five-year old Sasuke picked up the midnight-colored, miniature feline. He watched as the kitten put a hesitant paw on one of Sasuke's chubby cheeks, and Sasuke smiling back at it.
"Ne, Sasuke…look at this," Kakashi said, picking up a blonde Labrador puppy. Sasuke looked at it in disgust, his dark brows furrowed.
"Switch with me," Kakashi said, without waiting for a response, took the kitten out of Sasuke's hands and replaced it with the puppy. The puppy started barked happily, and licking Sasuke's little face.
"I don't like it!" Sasuke said, as he placed the puppy back in its little pen.
"I want the kitten!" he said, taking it back from Kakashi. He cradled the kitten in his arms, and Kakashi couldn't handle Sasuke's hopeful, big dark eyes staring up at him, with pink of his cheeks from excitement. He sighed, as he petted the top of the cat's head, earning a small purr from the green-eyed feline.
"Alright. You can have a…cat," Kakashi said, rubbing his head and wondering how he raised this kid all wrong.
"Kakashi!" a voice behind him exclaimed. He turned around to find two blondes.
"Ah. Minato. Hello Naruto. Are you guys also getting a pet today?" Kakashi asked, watching the blonde run straight towards the puppy pen.
"Yeah. He kept bugging me, so I finally had to give in. Ah Sasuke! Are you getting the kitten? It suits you!" Minato replied, as he ruffled Sasuke's hair and received a glare from both Sasuke and the kitten.
"DAD! THIS ONE! I WANT THIS ONE!" Naruto screamed, as he brought over the same yellow lab. It barked along excitedly, licking Naruto's face up and down.
"Naruto…what about some fish?" Minato asked as he sweat-dropped, and ended up receiving a large "noo", and tearful eyes, before giving in. Kakashi watched the loud blondes, and their blonde, barking dog, and petted the kitten's head once more. Maybe it was a better idea to get a cat.
