We don't own Danny Phantom.
Isabel: Now, as you may have noticed, I said 'we'.
Jordan: That's because we're twins writing for the same penname.
Isabel: And we're colaborating for this story.
Jordan: Please review.
Gotta secret
Can you keep it?
Swear this one you'll save
Better lock it in your pocket
Taking this one to the grave
If I show you then I know you
Won't tell what I said
Cause two can keep a secret
If one of them is dead.
-Secret by The Pierces
Sam's POV
I stared at Danny's body on a metal slab, not quite sure how to react. I had seen my own best friend get killed, and yet here I was, covering for him, even though he was now dead, cool as a cucumber. "He was caught in the crossfire of a fight between Danny Phantom and some other ghost. I-I didn't see who the other ghost was." That was kind of the truth. I didn't see who the ghost that shot Danny was. We were just walking home from school when all of a sudden, Danny's ghost sense went off, and he transformed into Danny Phantom to fight. He didn't even see the other ghost either. It shot him from afar, killing him as the ghost hit his heart.
"She's in shock," the coroner whispered to my parents, who rushed over when they heard that I was at the coroner's. Then again, who could blame them? They probably thought I was the one on that slab. My eyes drifted uncomfortably drifted around the doctor scrubs-blue room, trying to distract myself from the body lying in front of me.
"Sir, we've got another body," a police officer said, coming into the room and snapping me out of my trance. "Female, seventeen, orange-red hair. She seemed to die the same way as the boy."
"Jazz," I whispered knowingly. "It's not just after Danny... it's after people who know."
"What was that?" my mom asked.
"Uh... I have to go," I said nervously, running out of the room. Other than me, there were only three other living people who knew about Danny: Tucker, Dani, and Vlad. While I couldn't care less about Vlad, I had to warn Dani and Tucker. As I rounded the corner, I saw an African-American boy lying face-down on the sidewalk, shocked people surrounding him. "No," I whispered, headed to Fenton Works to find Dani, only to have my attempt at saving her life ruined by her lying on the ground, also in a pool of blood.
I looked around nervously, knowing that I was probably next.
Thankfully, I made it to my house without getting killed. My breathing was shaking throughout the rest of the day as I tried to keep busy to keep my mind off of the ghost- or maybe even Vlad- who was trying to kill me.
"... in other news, a fifteen-year-old girl was found dead in the park. The body has been identified as Valerie Gray," the news reporter said.
"What...?" I muttered to myself. Valerie didn't know Danny's secret, only... I gasped in realization, only to get hit in the back twice. My eyes closed as I fell to the ground, blood already surrounding me.
Yes two can keep a secret
If one of us is dead...
Jordan: Ta-da! Let's see who can guess who the killer was. You might be surprised.
Isabel: Or who knows, you might be able to see through our secret.
