Title: Closing the Gates
Summary: In the quest to close the Gates of Heaven and Hell, Castiel unwittingly unleashes the wrath of two beings who are thought to be mere myths, mere stories to keep fledglings in line. The only problem is, these two beings are only out numbered by six people, and they have managed to kill 2, piss off and lock away the other 2, have no idea where to begin to look for the other, an the last does whatever it wants. Have they met their greatest foe yet?

"Castiel what are you doing?"
They all looked up startled as someone appeared in the room they had been staying in for the last week. A woman with long curly hair appeared before them, looking around at the three occupants before her gaze locked onto the aforementioned angel. Dean and Sam rushed forward to grab at any weapon they could reach in the proximity they had and she spared them a look of annoyance.
Castiel stopped them before anything could be done that could not be undone with a simple raised hand as he stepped forward.
"Josiah, what are you doing here sister?"
She shook her head frantically, stepping forward but freezing to the spot when the sound of a cocking gun reverberated around the room.
"Castiel, what are you doing?"
"Cas, you know who this bitch-"
"Dean!"
The sharp tone and glare silenced the hunter who took a step back at his angel's sharp glare as he turned to look at him. Dean exchanged looks with Sam, who shrugged, he was as confused here as his brother was.
"Josiah, sister, you are covered in blood, are you harmed, there had been chaos in Heaven perhaps it is-"
"And whose fault is that? Do not worry about me for it is not mine."
She stepped forward slightly, moving around the two frozen Winchesters and examined the work and mass of papers they had on the table her eyes scanning everything. Castiel watched her, not moving from his position either. He knew Josiah and he knew she would never raise a hand against them, she was a messenger.
She had been one of Gabriel's most trusted, only a certain few still remained with that title, and she was a pacifist, she detested confrontation. Many of Gabriel's old choir did.
"I am closing the gates of Heaven, Sam Winchester is closing the gates of Hell, we are going to end this once and for all sister"
Dean sputtered as the angel told the stranger their exact plans, glad that they had left Kevin behind as Cas was turning out to be as trusted as far as you could throw him. Josiah shook her head, her eyes harder then ever as she turned back to face her brother, he almost sounded proud of what they were doing but he most likely did not know the true cost of shutting the gates without permission from their guards, their owners, and for that she let it slide.
"No, what you are doing is angering the Guards!"
"The guards?"
Even though it was not his place to speak, according to Josiah, she still nodded at Sam's question. She was staring at Castiel as this knowledge dawned on him and his face fell into dread. One rarely saw those particular brothers, but there was rumors on what happened to those certain few who did cross their paths and it was not a happy tale, it was one made to keep fledglings in line.
"They have noticed?"
She looked at him as if he was crazy, flinging her hands into the air.
"Of course they have noticed, they are connected to the Gates Castiel, as soon as Metatron had set his sights on them they knew, you had your chance to stop this, but now..."
"Whoa whoa whoa! Someone better explain exactly what the hell is going on!"
She glared at Dean for such language and his out of boundary interruption, this was out of his league.
"Careful mortal, I may not personally come to harm you but you have managed to anger many many other angels"
Dean smirked in pride, "Well good, you tell them to come on down and we can settle it over a round of beers and like a couple of men"
She shook her head, glaring at him in disgust, turning her attention back to her brother, "Castiel learn to keep your ape in line, will you? They would tear him limb from limb only to heal him once more so they could enjoy it a second time, and that's not mentioning what the other would do"
Castiel stepped forward, placing his hand on her shoulder, "Sister, how do we stop them?"
She snorted, "You can't stop them, in The Archangel's absence it is Ridwan and Malik who are to step up to take charge of Heaven and Hell, that is why you must stop, Heaven and Hell have existed peacefully together for thousands of decades because of them, Ridwan had the favor of Michael and Malik the favor of Lucifer, it was peaceful until you came and destroyed it, they agree with you, have aided you, in many of your adventures but this is one that they are putting their foot down on, you need to...As they put it...Back the F(insert bad word here) Off."
Sam and Dean exchanged looks, feeling a bit put out that the two were speaking as if they were not in the room with them, and the fact that Josiah had just referred to Dean as 'ape'.
Cas's eyes narrowed though, "Josiah why are you here?"
"To give you an option, passed directly from them, either stop with the trials and leave the gates alone, or declare a war on Ridwan and Malik personally, please be smart about this brother, I would hate to see what would happen should you take up arms against them"
She spared him one final look before disappearing. He was still trying to maul it over in his head, they knew, they knew his plans for the gates. Dean set his gun down on the table, sighing deeply.
"Don't tell me your actually considering what she is saying? Come on Cas, be smarter then this, its obviously a ploy to get us to stop! If we close the gates nothing can get in or out!"
That's right, except that Ridwan and Malik control the gates, but maybe he can avoid confrontation.
He would just have to see if he could get them to understand.
Easier said then done.
Interested in who Ridwan and Malik are? Is Cas going to do something stupid? Has the Winchesters bitten off more than they can chew this time? Have they met their greatest foe yet?
Stay tuned to find out.
