Beatrice's Last Ball
On the veranda, she sits,
Veiled by a dragonfly disguise.
Her hair blowing in the wind,
She looks so peaceful.
But looks can be deceiving.
For in her future, terrible things await her.
A mysterious man in a bullfighting costume,
Comes to give her a message.
he says, Count Olaf is...
Interrupted by men disguised as scorpion guards.
The bullfighter, alarmed by the scorpions,
Runs back into the mansion.
Confusion erupts, chaos spreads.
But the dragonfly has done nothing.
As the bullfighter gave his few words,
She paid no attention to him,
Just stared out at the sea.
She quietly flees from the ball,
And the poor bullfighter failed to warn her,
Of the dangers that are to come.
