Falcon
A/N: I've just come back to this after I don't know how long and decided to have a go at carrying it on as I thought the idea would be...interesting :D
Otto stood before Nero's desk, shuffling his feet and looking embarrassed.
Nero sighed, 'So, would you mind telling me again how it happened.'
'My computer blew up,' mumbled Otto.
'Forgive me if I don't believe I've received the full story,' said Nero frowning a little, 'In my experience I don't think that computers "just blow up" in particular our computers here at H.I.V.E. The full story if you don't mind Mr Malpense.'
Otto coughed, 'I was uploading a new computer program and it was a bit to much for the computer to handle so it...'
'...blew up,' finished off Nero with a sigh, 'Yes I get it.'
He frowned again, 'You've caused me a bit of hassle Otto, your whole room was practically destroyed, it's going to have to be completely re-fitted.'
Otto had the grace to look suitably chastised.
Nero was silent for a few more moments, 'You understand I must punish you in some way for this.'
Otto looked up, his expression one of complete innocence, 'Why sir?'
Nero's eyes narrowed, 'You may go Otto.'
As Otto turned to exit the office he suppressed a wince, Nero was clearly aware that the program he'd been uploading to his computer hadn't been strictly in line with the school policy.
Wing was waiting for his friend outside the office, raising an eyebrow he asked, 'So how did it go?'
Otto rolled his eyes to heaven, 'I think I'm in trouble.'
'Nothing new then.'
'No,' sighed the teen with a wry smile, 'Nothing new...'
Three days later...
'It's nice to be back,' remarked Otto throwing himself down on his new bed.
Wing raised his eyebrows, 'Really I can't tell the difference from the room we were staying in.'
Otto looked at his friend, an expression of mock astonishment on his face, 'Really? Well, I thought there was a massive difference.'
Wing smiled slightly, every room looked the same at HIVE, unless of course any students took to pinning up some posters on the walls.
Otto swung off the bed, 'Well, I'm off to get a shower before you use up all the hot water.'
The tall Asian boy looked bemused, 'Whilst using that as a reason back in the normal world to get a shower first I don't think that it applies here in HIVE.'
Otto grinned, 'True, geothermal power plants have a tendency to cover all hot water needs.'
Wing lay sprawled on his back on his bed, his head buried in a book; he peered over the top of it as Otto came walking out of the bathroom wearing his night clothes, he resumed reading his book but soon as he raised it up again Otto asked, 'Wing?'
'Yes,' he replied, placing the book back down.
His friend was stood in front of his wardrobe, his uniform clutched in one hand, the other holding the door open.
'When Dr Nero said a new wardrobe was to be put in, did he by any chance mention a holographic projection was to be screened on the back wall?'
Wing shot his friend a puzzled glance, 'No, I don't that recall he did.'
'Ah.'
There was silence for a few moments.
'What is it?' asked Wing eventually, swinging off his bed and walking over to his friend.
Otto pushed open the wardrobe door further so Wing could see into it, 'There appears to be a forest in the back of our wardrobe.'
*grins* A strange idea I know...but hey, strange and wacky ideas are my speciality, sorry the chapter was so short, I'll see about making the next one longer.
