HELLO THERE. If you have stumbled upon this story, I do hope you enjoy it! It's a little plot bunny that entered my head a few days ago and it hasn't left since. These characters aren't mine, I don't own Glee nor do I own The Bachelor. I do hope you enjoy the story! Review, eh?
Kurt was sure he was going crazy. Completely and absolutely bonkers. Or maybe he was possessed by the devil. Yes, that had to be it. A little devil called loneliness. It resided on his left shoulder. When it decided to behave that is. Sometimes though, it crept down into his heart and left him feeling achy and just plain worthless. It barely used to happen. Steadily it started happening more and more and quite frankly Kurt got sick of it. He didn't ask to be lonely. He didn't ask to put his successful career before his love life. He didn't ask to be slightly commitment-phobic. Really he didn't. Kurt couldn't help that just as much as he couldn't help being gay.
So maybe that's why he was here, in front of a huge mansion, about to embark on one of the craziest experiences of his life. He had one suitcase in his hand and four and half more still in his limo. He wasn't sure how much he should pack or how much he should just leave home. Finn tried telling him to only pack one suitcase, just case he didn't stay very long but Kurt wouldn't have any of it. He had to have options. Finn had just rolled his eyes at him and left the fashionista to himself. He ended up with three quarters of his wardrobe inside of four and a half tightly packed suitcases. The other fourth was still in his closet, and mostly winter clothes. Kurt shut his eyes for a moment and thought about the circumstances that brought him here, to this very moment.
It had been impulse to fill out that application. A moment of insanity. He never for a second thought he would get chosen. Especially with the track record he listed. He omitted names and the list still had around fifteen names. When he had gotten the letter a few short weeks ago, he was stunned to say the least. He rang up Finn, gushing and screaming and freaking out. His step-brother, hardly knowing how to handle this, handed the phone off to his fiancée Rachel Berry. She, being her ever so high maintenance self, talked to Kurt and weaned his excitement some. Of course the first thing that entered Kurt's mind was, what am I going to wear? The second was of course, what was he like? This mystical, mysterious Bachelor that he was going to fall in love with. He was curious. They had only gotten his first name, Blaine and that was almost enough for Kurt to fall head over heels. Simply his name made Kurt's knees go a little weak.
He spent the next three weeks mentally preparing. What if he didn't like him? Kurt had seen the show before. He knew how it worked. However there had never been a gay man as the Bachelor and Kurt was honored to be a part of this historical event. Which began in…approximately fifteen minutes. They were due in the ballroom at 6 p.m. to finally meet the bachelor. After two hours of socializing, they were to attend the first rose ceremony where he would send ten of twenty five men home.
Kurt hoped with all of his heart that he wasn't one of them.
