Hey everybody! This is sort of my first attempt at a half-way decent fanfic, but I hope you like it! It's mainly staged in Kagome's time, after they defeated Naraku. Inuyasha uses the jewel to make himself look human at certain times, tells Kikyo to shove it and that he's not going to hell with her, and then he asks Kagome if he could stay with her and get to know the future a bit more. I'll answer any questions you have by email, just send you question to I hope you enjoy! This is, however a prologue and is around 1/10th what the normal chapters will be. I kinda just wanted to get it up.

"Er... Kagome, do I have to?" Inuyasha looked reluctantly towards her, she went out with her mother to buy Inuyasha some modern clothes, and he didn't particularly like the shoes. Or anything of it.

"Yes, Inuyasha, you do. You asked to stay with us, and besides, you look better in them." Inuyasha shifted around a bit, he still couldn't get used to them, they were too tight and they made him look like an idiot.

"Damn it! Fine, but only when we go out!" The hanyou's eyebrows twitched and he looked over towards the side, he just got out of the bathroom and smelled a lovely aroma coming from downstairs. Inuyasha's ears perked up and he nearly started drooling.

"Ra...ramen.."

Kagome looked towards him and smirked at his actions.

"Mom is making it for dinner, since it's your first night here."

The hanyou snapped out of his trance and jumped down the stairs, landing a few feet away from Souta.

"Heya, Inuyasha!" The boy smiled towards his idol, "I got this new video game and I wa-"

"Sorry. Not now, ramen.."

He knew there wasn't a chance in hell he would keep Inuyasha away from ramen.

"Sigh.."

Inuyasha walked over towards the kitchen, and saw Ms. Higurashi placing the noodles in the boiling water, she noticed him and smiled.

"Hey, it's almost done!" "You look pretty good in the new clothes, do you like them?
