Our Hourglass
Time is flying by so fast.
We don't know what might happen next.
So we should say I love you often,
Before you know it's too late.
Just like an hourglass,
Love is timed.
So don't let a moment pass,
But let ever memory last.
And if you have the opportunity to love her;
Love her with all your heart,
Then be there to do your part.
Give her roses,
Kiss her when she's mad,
Write her letters,
And hug her when she's sad.
Take her out on a special day,
And do something she will always remember.
Let her be the boss, and let her have her way.
If she's cold,
Give her your sweater
And be there to hug and hold.
Write her poems,
Sing to her,
And hold her hand when you walk her home.
Talk about your future plans and dreams,
Trust me, you'll see her pretty smile shinning with gleam.
So just show her the way you feel.
Because if you think you have all the time in the world to be with her,
You're wrong,
Because when the last grain of sand falls…..
Times up, that's it, that's the end.
Then you wish you could have told her.
