Gaara just can't help loving her.
It was the way the corners of her lips moved when she talked, the crinkle of her eyes when she smiled, and the way her pupils dilated when she looked at him. He's never been a social person; it's hard for him to pick up on small things or cues that most would be able to point out with ease.
She was different.
Always smiling but not always happy. The facial expressions she seemed to be capable of were endless; he saw the way the corners of her lips twitched when she was unhappy, or even the way her ears would perk up when she was excited.
He spends a lot of time staring at her.
She's ethereal; shining with light no matter where she goes or who she's with. It's no wonder why she was always the center of attention; she was warm like the sun and others were drawn to her, basking in her warmth and taking her for granted.
He hated them for it. They never realized when she was sad or upset or just wanted to do something calm; sitting down and reading a book seemed to become a hobby of hers, lost in the lives of fictional characters and stories that caught her interest.
She was cute when she reads too.
Calloused fingers flipping through the pages; her eyes slowly scanning the words, and even the genuine expressions she would make when something happened to the characters. Most of the time he could get away with moving the hair out of her eyes or saying something nonchalant that she was much to absorbed to pick up on.
He just might be addicted to her touch.
The feel of her arms wrapped around his neck or around his back as she randomly proclaimed her love for him throughout the day; resting her head on his shoulder, or just kissing him every time she got the chance.
Most of all Gaara loved that she loved him.
He felt like the luckiest man alive.
Naruto thought so too.
A/N: People need to write more Gaara/Naruto stories.
Literally my favorite pairing.
:c
