If You'll Let Me

I got this DVD for my birthday 3 weeks and upon it fell in love. I re watched my favourites repeatedly any chance I got. Then the writer part of my brain started to tick, and it started with the what if scenarios. This is the first one that came out. So enjoy.

She watched as he walked away. Then turned as he disappeared out of sight. He thought he could be a good dad. Could he? Could she be a good mom? Did she want to be a single mom? Or did she want him there for every moment? She knew she was head over heels in love with him. She knew that if she didn't go back to him. She might not be with anyone again or she might try and find someone that compared to him but that would be impossible as he was unique.

"Teddy Millner is the sweetest child I've ever known," came Nanny Jo's voice.

As she listened to the story of the golden bird and how nice Teddy had been she knew her choice.

"Have they gone?" She asked.

Everyone shook their head and followed her into the reception. She stopped dead in the doorway. Her eyes locked on Teddy. He caught hers, but Nikki pulled his face to face hers. He pulled himself from her grasp and turned and headed to Eloise. Nikki followed.

"What could you possibly want," sneered Nikki, "You've had your chance."

"Shut up Nikki," she said and it was echoed by Teddy.

Eloise looked to Teddy.

"I was wrong. This I can't not be in love with you. You screw up all the time. But so do I. Way worse!"

Nikki opened her mouth to say something but promptly closed it in shock when she heard the next four words.

"The baby's a screwup!" exclaimed Eloise.

"What baby?" asked Nikki.

"It's a great screwup! It's this perfect screwup! What? I don't want to be disappointed by anybody but you! And I don't want to disappoint anybody but you."

"What are you saying?" asked Teddy.

"If you're, ready to be, like, the person who always forgives me, then I want to be the person who always forgives you. Our baby needs two parents" She finished.

"Let's do that." He said, before he kissed her.
