The sky at Destiny Islands were bright and blue with barely any clouds. Both Sora and Kairi sat side-by-side at the deck of the Children's play Isle. Kairi loved the way the sky was so blue, and she enjoyed it more now that Sora and Riku had returned home. Yet she realized ever since Sora and her decided to become an official couple he seemed a little off.
She really didn't notice it at first, until a week since they had been together. She caught the brunette with a somewhat miffed look on his face everytime they hung out with their other friends. Frowning worriedly Kairi looked down and to her side to face Sora.
"Hey Sora?" She saw the other turn to face her with a smile.
"What is it, Kairi?" Sora spoke with his usual cheerful tone. She couldn't help but smile in return.
"You know, I've been wondering..."
"Huh? About what?"
"Why do you look so angry whenever we're with the others?"
She noted the sudden change in Sora's expression before he turned away. She saw how his lips drawn tightly together as he started to pout slightly.
"I do not," He muttered. Kairi placed a hand onto his shoulder lightly while looking at him in concern.
"Please Sora, tell me what's wrong. I hate to see you so angry."
With a sigh, Sora nodded as he turned to face his girlfriend with a frown. He glanced down towards the wooden surface of the deck with a slightly guilty look.
"I get jealous eachtime the guys look at you," He stated. Kairi's eyes slightly widened in surprise, as she dropped her hand back to her side.
"I knew it!" Her sudden exclamation caused Sora to look embarrassed. "You didn't have to hide the fact you were gay, Sora! Oh I'm so happy for you!"
Sora looked up at Kairi with an incredulous look.
"What?"
"Okay, I admit I'm hurt at the fact that you really don't like me in that way," Kairi sighed, but kept on smiling. "Though I don't mind! Really! I'll pretend to be your girlfriend as long as you want! You know what? I can drop the hint to Riku! I mean, I knew that something was going on between you guys! Ooh!" Kairi practically squealed.
Sora opened his mouth, but he didn't have a chance to reply as Kairi immediately stood up.
"Great! I better get things set up! Oh just wait until Riku figures it out! He's not dense, you know?" She giggled as she ran towards her row boat. "I'll see you later Sora!" She announced as she started to row away, leaving a stunned Sora.
"No! Kairi! Wait--!" He yelled, but it was too late. Sora let out a groan as his head hung low.
'Ugh, how did she jump to that conclusion anyway? All I told her was that I got jealous when all the other guys made googly eyes at my girlfriend...'
A/N: This idea came to me while riding the bus home. xD; I just imagined, "What if Kairi severely misunderstood Sora?" and this popped up. I couldn't stop smirking at the idea...anyway, this is an one shot, so no, I won't be adding a continuation. :D
