This story came to me while I was eating cereal, It's set before the pilot. Reviews are loved!

Brennan was sitting in her apartment talking to her son, who was thirteen, she was only twenty eight.

"Today I'm going to meet the agent that's going to start working with the Jeffersonian." Brennan told her son who's name is, Tyler.

"Well if you think that's a problem, try to imagine the stress I'm under with the exam's I have to do!" Tyler said.

Temperance and Tyler always talked with each other before she had to go to work, and before he had to go to school.

"Well Ty, I have to leave." Temperance said walking to give her so a huge.

"By mom, I love you." Tyler said to his mom .

"I love you too."

--

Temperance sighed as she got stuck at yet another stop light on her way to the Jeffersonian, it seemed like anything and everything was trying to stop her from getting to work on time.

She tapped the steering wheel impatiently as her thoughts wandered back to her son, she couldn't believe that he was already thirteen. It seemed like just yesterday she was fifteen and finding out that she was, in fact, pregnant with him.

She could remember the day well, calling her boyfriend of two years to inform him that she was having their baby, then finding just two days later that she was leaving the state to go live with a foster family. She had been worried to death that the family wouldn't take her if they knew she was pregnant, and had hid her pregnancy well.

But when Tyler had been born, she couldn't hide it anymore, and went into labor one afternoon when she was eating lunch with the social worker that was taking care of her. The social worker was scared out of her mind to find out last minute that Temperance was pregnant and had freaked when she told her, but fortunately had the sense to bring her to a hospital where Tyler Seeley Brennan was born, her first born son.

Temperance smiled as she remembered her son's first birthday, the foster family she had been living with let her keep her son, saying that if anyone offered to adopt her they would have to take Tyler as well.

Temperance had been sixteen when her son had his first birthday and couldn't remember a day when she'd been happier, she could vividly remember the little boy sitting in his highchair giggling and throwing his cake at the camera that she was trying to take a picture of him with. His big bright brown eyes sparkling happily, just like his father's, and his thick red-brown hair caked with icing, his hair was hers.

Temperance shook her head as the person in front of her moved forward, and she remembered with a jolt that she was late for work.

--

"Hey Bren, why are you so late for work?" Angela asked Brennan with a mischievous smile.

"I got stuck in traffic."

"Okay? Well, are you ready to met this new agent?" Angela asked, she held up the folder she was holding, it held the name of the agent and information about his previous assignments. "Special Agent Seeley Booth." Angela said.

Brennan stopped dead in her track's,and dropped her paper's she was holding, her mouth was hanging open in shock. "Did you say, Seeley Booth?" Brennan asked still shocked.

"Yeah, why?Is there something I should know about you and this new agent?"

" No. . .no. . . absolutely nothing!" Brennan said,regaining her composure.

" More like something you don't need to know.." Temperance thought.

Angela nodded her head not believeing her friend for one second.

--

A little while later everyone was on the platform waiting for the new agent to arrive.

"Agent Booth is from the FBI, of course, and they're going to start working with us, to solve murders. Dr Brennan you will be assigned as agent Booth's partner." Dr Goodman said.

"Why Dr.Brennan?" Angela asked.

"Because the reason they decided to work with the Jeffersonian is because of Dr.Brennan, they needed a forensic anthropologist, and she is the best in her field." Goodman said.

Angela nodded her head to show she understood, at that point agent Booth walked up onto the plat form. And the alarm sounded loudly, two guards walked over to the agent and held their hands out, signaling for him to back up.

Dr.Goodman quickly informed the guards that Agent Booth was their to see him, and he was aloud on the platform, Goodman swiped his card and invited the startled agent to come see his team.

"Agent Booth, I presume? I'm Dr Goodman, and this is my team." Goodman said shaking Booth's hand.

"It's a pleasure to meet you." Booth responded.

"Hi, I'm Angela Montenegro, I'm the forensic artist for the Jeffersonian." Angela said stepping forward and shacking Booth's hand.

"Dude, are you part of the government conspiracy to cover up all of the evidence of extra terrestrial life?" Hodgins asked.

"What? There are no conspiracy's in the government." Booth said.

"That's just you want me to think, I'm on to you." Hodgins said.

"I'm Zack Addy, I'm Dr Brennan's grad student." Zack said.

Everyone had been talking on the plat form, just to get to know each other since there was no case at that time.

Booth had been talking to Angela when he realized one of them had not introduced themselves to him, but of course he didn't need to have her introduce herself, he remembered her perfectly.

Brennan had went to her office without talking to Booth. So Booth decided to follow her to her office.

After Booth had went off of the plat form and into Brennan's office, Angela whispered quietly to Hodgins so that no one could hear her suspicions.

"They have a past." Angela said to Hodgins.

"How do you know?" Hodgins asked.

"When I told her his name she dropped her papers and acted all weird, and Booth just went into her office and she hasn't kicked him out yet."Angela said.

"What do you think there doing in there?" Hodgins asked.

Angela gave him a knowing smirk and walked away.

--

Booth walked into the forensic anthropologist's office and saw her sitting at her desk, it had been an extremely long time sense he'd seen her, but he couldn't help but remember her, she hadn't changed a bit in his eyes.

"Hey, why did you leave? You do remember me don't you?" Booth asked leaning on her door frame.

"Yes I remember you, how could I not?" Brennan asked, still in grossed with her paper work.

"Okay, so why did you leave the platform?" Booth asked.

"I don't want to talk to you!"Brennan said standing up and tryingto push him out of her office, but he wasn't moving.

"Come on, why don't you want to talk to me? Since that night I haven't stopped thinking about you, but I bet you've stopped thinking about me."Booth said.

"How could I not stop thinking about you, when you left me with something that looks to much like you, and reminds me of you every day!"Brennan said.

"What!"Booth said.

"I was only fifteen and you were eighteen!"Brennan yelled.

"Don't make it sound like that! we were both in our senior year, and I said I loved you, and to my nolege you said it back!"Booth yelled back.

"That doesn't make it any bette! I have your child!" Brennan yelling back at him, for yelling at her, for her yelling at him.

"I think I need to sit down."Booth said. Only now getting what she was saying, Booth went pale.He was a father? How could he be?

" How did this happen, again!?" Booth asked.

" I don't think you want me to explain how it happened. And what to you mean by again?" Brennan asked her voice back to a normal talking voice.

" Nothing, it's just... just I had another..er.. son, Parker, with a women named Rebbecca, she refused to marry me, so so had him out of wedlock, so I have done this twice." Booth said.

"Oh, so you have Tyler and Parker." Brennan said.

" His name is Tyler!"

Brennan smiled at him."Yes, I remember you said, if you ever had a son, that you would name him Tyler after your grandfather, and if you had a girl she would be Emily." Brennan said.

"So you rememberd me saying that? I don't even remember saying that!" Booth said.

"So, what are we going to do, concerning Tyler?" Booth asked.

"Well first, I think you should meet him, and then we can tell him, he's always asked why he didn't have a father." Brennan said.

"Oh.. well I'm sorry about that, but there was really nothing I could have done even if I had new about him, and that's why you din't tell me about him, right." Booth said.

Brennan nodded her head and smiled, she was glad he got why she had not told him, " Well you could come over for diner?" Brennan suggested.

"Okay after work I'll come over, and I'll just follow you home in my car." Booth said.

"Right after work, which will be about eight, if we get out of here on time." Brennan said.

Booth's phone rang, " Booth." " Okay will be there in a bit." Booth said hanging up his phone.

"Okay, but for now I think we should just act like we just met each other." Booth said.

Brennan nodded her head.

" But for now we have a case" Booth said getting up from the couch along with Temperance. He placed his hand on the small of her back. He new this was the start of something good.
