Champion Pair
Caroline had long since thought Ash and May made a cute couple. A pokemon trainer and a coordinator – there was a pairing that most didn't see the value in. But the fruits of their labour together was shown across the country: May's contests with the edge of cutthroat battling style, Ash's official battles with a flair of art…and she knew, if they could travel and work together like that, those lessons were just the first of many they could learn together.
It was easy to tell, just by laying eyes on them together, that there was buried potential that could bloom. And they made it known as well: each time they sent Team Rocket sailing off, each time they helped each other out… They were just the most adorable pair, and if Ash didn't wind up her son in law by the end, well…
Maybe that just meant they weren't destined to follow in hers and Norman's footsteps. And they weren't; she didn't think so either. She thought they would do better: better than a gym leader and a coordinator. A master – and a top coordinator. Two champions.
