A/N: I do not own Frozen, or any of the characters from the movie. When I saw Frozen for the first time, I went home and wrote this short little piece. This is just a little drabble that I thought I'd share with you all. Hope you enjoy!
Elsa cowered in the smallest corner of her room, the spot she found the safest, and shed a small tear.
'No. No, not again! Conceal don't feel. Conceal. Don't. Feel!' she chanted to herself, forcing the ice back in her hands.
Ever since the accident with her baby sister Anna when they were children Elsa has had to hide her power, not letting a single person know about her magic, with the exception of her parents.
"Papa! Papa, it's not working!" she cried in a worried panic, "Papa!"
In no time at all the King burst through the door.
"Elsa, my darling girl, are you okay? Breathe, do you hear me? Just breathe, you can do this." He said calmly offering her a pair of gloves and a soft smile,
"Here, these should help. Elsa, you have to focus, you know what happens when you aren't in control of your power."
"I know Papa, I know, but it's so hard! Can't I let it out just a little bit? Please? I can make a snowman for Anna, or turn the room into an ice-rink, nothing big. Please Papa, please?" she begged hoping she could do something with her powers without hurting anyone.
Her father shook his head and kissed her forehead, "I'm sorry Elsa, but you know the rules."
The young white haired girl nodded, yes, she knew the rules, but it was just so hard. "Yes father, I know." She replied blinking back the tear that was threatening to fall.
"That's my girl." The king smiled.
"I have some news for you. Your mother and I will be going out of town for a few days. It's nothing major, but you and your sister will be left here to care for the palace. Do you think you can do that for me?" he asked knowing that she wouldn't let him down.
"Do you have to go? Oh please Papa, don't leave me. My power is getting harder and harder to conceal! I need you! You can't go now! What about Anna?"
"Anna will be fine Elsa. Everything will be just fine. I have faith in you. You can do this. Just remember what I told you. Conceal. . ."
"Don't feel." Elsa finished flashing a brief smile up at her father, "I wish you didn't have to go." She said throwing her arms over his neck and pulling him close.
"I know sweetheart, but it's for the best. We'll be back, I promise. I love you." He said hugging her in return.
"I love you too." She whispered.
