Just a cutesy little OS cause I needed to make people smile!
Sam was hot. She had flung the duvet off of her so many times that night. She turned slightly and touched the head of dampened curls that were resting by her breast.
"Jack." She moaned a little. "What did I say about snuggling up to me? It's too damn warm for you to snuggle me these days."
She heard a mumbling in response.
"What?"
She opened her eyes, expecting to see her husband's head against her but she was surprised to see four year old Lewis O'Neill in the space between herself and her husband, his head resting on his mother's breast, his legs lay over his father's stomach. Sam lifted the rest of the duvet from her body and chuckled as she noticed what her son was dressed in.
He was there in a little Jedi robe, clutching a mini lightsaber to his chest.
"Jack." She whispered. Trying to waken him and not their son. He didn't stir.
She reached her hand over and prodded him in the shoulder. He jerked awake, his eyes wide as he bolted up in bed. "What is it?... Is it time?" He spoke out of panic as he looked over at her.
"No, Jack. It's not time." She sat up slowly and carefully. "When it's time believe me you will know. Can you not remember Lewis's birth?"
"Then what's wrong?" he mumbled out as he rubbed the sleep out of his eyes.
Sam pointed down toward the sleeping boy between them, his eyes followed her finger.
"Oh..." he paused, looking a little confused. "... What's he doing here? I thought he was past sleeping with us?"
"I have no idea, I thought that you would know."
Jack moved closer, moving his little man's legs and touching his forehead, moving a curl from his face he spoke to him softly. "Hey there little man."
Lewis wriggled about between them and slowly opened his eyes, looking just as confused as his daddy had a second ago as he sat up to face them both. "Hi." He whispered sleepily.
"Hey, monkey. Whatcha doing in here?" Jack asked.
"I'm protecting my baby sister." He mumbled as he moved his hands onto his mother's stomach.
Jack bit back a chuckle. "Well. That explains why you are in our bed. But why are you dressed as a Jedi, buddy?"
"Cause I can protect her using my lighty-saber that Uncle Teal'c gots me. I can protect me, and you, and mommy and sister.
This time they both chuckled.
"Where did you learn this from, sweetie?" Sam asked him.
"Uncle Daniel told me that I had to protect my little sister. And... And... I watcheded Star Wars again and the Jedi's protected peoples, and I knew that I could protect my baby sister if I became Jedi Lewis and we could live happily ever after cause my lighty-saber will save everyone." Lewis yawned. "I promise to protect my sister, mommy. I promise." He mumbled as he fell asleep.
Jack blinked and looked at Sam with his eyebrows raised, not needing to say that Lewis has definitely inherited his mother's affinity for what could be described as child's version of technobabble.
"Who would have thought that film and his uncles would have such an influence on our son at such a young age." Sam whispered.
Jack just shrugged and moved back down the bed and snuggled Lewis closer to him so Sam could get comfortable again. Once she was settled he moved closer and snuggled all 'four' of them together.
Sam ran her fingers over Lewis's brown locks. "You're going to be a great big brother Lewis." She whispered and kissed his little forehead before smiling at Jack and closing her eyes.
