It's been 15 years, I was only in kindergarten but I still remember the day. I was picked up by our neighbors to go to their home. My parents stayed at work to watch the news, not wanting my sister and I to see the horrors. But I remember walking into
my neighbors family room and I saw the TV, and I saw a recap of the second plane. Of course I didn't understand but I remember myself thinking it wasn't good and that I had a sick feeling in my stomach. But every year on this date, I still feel that same
feeling. The feeling of confusion, sadness and anger. But I also feel hope. I see America, and the world, unite to pray for the victims, to pray for the fallen heroes, and for the soldiers who went off to fight for our freedom. It's days like these I
saw America at its true self. Not an America where the two presidential candidates are berating each other's opinions and comments, not an America where people discriminate against color, religion or sexual orientation, no...not that America. On this
day I see an America full of citizens, whether they are natural, immigrants or illegal, today I see every American take a moment and remember. We remember our losses, we remember the fight for freedom, and most of all we remember how great we have it
in this land of the free. On this day, I am proud to be an American. God Bless America and Never Forget 9/11 #godblessamerica #neverforget
