AN: This is just a quick drabble based on a prompt I saw on tumblr. Nice and fluffy. Please review! Reviews make me happy and when I'm happy I don't write fics featuring a certain maid we all hate! Now go read, my pretties!

Robert observed his wife of three months as she walked ahead of him. She was tall and graceful and he couldn't help but appreciate her perfect body encased in the dress. Curls that had escaped from their bindings brushed gently against her slender neck and the darkness of her hair contrasted wonderfully with her pale skin. He admired her profile as she turned to talk to someone. When she laughed her whole body shook in a delightful way.

They made their way separately around the party but Robert couldn't help following her with his eyes. He insulted more than one of his friends when he completely ignored their attempts at conversation. He was so consumed with watching her that for a while he didn't realize that he wasn't the only one. It seemed every man in the room couldn't look away from his beautiful wife for more than a moment. The braver men came up to her to flirt and ask her to dance. Robert quickly became jealous and began making his way towards her. She skillfully extracted herself from the crowd and made her way out onto the balcony. Robert followed after her.

He called out her name as he walked outside and she spun quickly in surprise. Her foot became tangled in the hem of her dress and Robert quickly ran towards her as she hit the ground. His arms were immediately around her and he gently helped her up. He clutched her hand until he was sure that she was steady and then removed his arms from around her.

She did not however release his hand. She looked down at their entwined fingers and felt an overwhelming sadness about a connection that was only physical. She remained lost in her own thoughts until he gently squeezed her hand. He stared down at her with a look that displayed worry but also something else. Something that she thought she recognized but refused to name because it would hurt too much if she was wrong.

With his free hand he gently cupped her face and rubbed his thumb against her cheek. "Cora, are you alright?"

She paused a moment before answering quietly, "No, but I think I will be."
