Malcolm

Malcolm was woken up in the middle of the night by the shuffling of the bed sheets close by; He peered over the top bunk in which he was laying in, to see Annabeth frantically moving and twitching in her sleep.

He got out of bed as quickly as he could, and knelt down next to the daughter of Athena.

Her face was contorted in pain, and she was sweating all over – on her face, her arms, what was exposed of her neck and chest, to which Malcolm got a close up view of some rather nasty scars. Malcolm grasped his half sisters shoulders and tried to gently shake her awake. "Annabeth. Wake up; it's just a nightmare. Annabeth. Annabeth!" His voice got louder, waking up the whole cabin immediately. They all surrounded the squirming form of Annabeth Chase as she started screaming a bloodcurdling scream. It made Malcolm want to cry because there was nothing he could do. By this point, he knew she had woken up the surrounding cabins with her cries and yells.

"I'm going to get Percy" Malcolm cried.

"I'll come with you" Charlotte said. (A/N: I just made her up)

"Okay c'mon" I called to her.

We both ran to the Poseidon cabin, as we did so, I noticed many other campers standing around their own cabins, knowing it was Annabeth who was screaming.

Charlotte and I knocked on the door of cabin 3, when we heard heavy breathing coming from inside. We barged in the unlocked door, we found a son of Poseidon in a similar way to Annabeth. He was moving around in his sleep, beads of sweat across his forehead, but not screaming out in his sleep… yet. Malcolm knew instantly he was in the same place of mind as Annabeth was.

Malcolm raced over to his side. "Percy! Percy wake up, its Annabeth and she needs you. Now! Wake up Percy, Percy!"

Percy suddenly opened his eyes and shot up, grasping for the first thing he could get his hand on, which just so happened to be Malcolm's shoulder.

"C'mon Perce, Annabeth needs you." He stated again.

Percy stumbled out of bed and hurried over to cabin 6, Malcolm couldn't run as fast as Percy could, but once Malcolm got inside his cabin, he saw something that made his heart melt.

Annabeth had her arms wrapped tightly around the son of Poseidon, with her head sobbing against his chest. Percy's arms enclosed her in an I'm-never-letting-you-go manner. He was whispering calming things in her ear, "I'm here and I'm okay, you're okay, we're out, and you don't have to be afraid now."

Slowly, Annabeth's crying stopped and she was just resting against Percy, who was still holding her protectively.

By this point, Malcolm was already game enough to march right up to Chiron and demand Percy and Annabeth be an exception to the rules, even though he was her brother, Malcolm knew they needed to be together, especially when nighttime approached. They couldn't be doing this every single night.
