Jaden woke up on the ground next to Alexis.
"What happened?" Jaden asked.
"I don't know... Hey! didn't a Slifer red dorm used to be there," Alexis said while pointing to the ground.
"Yeah! Hey, wait a minute, my bed was in that dorm!" Jaden screamed.
'There goes my night of relaxation' Jaden thought.
"Why! Why! I'm actually starting to get sleepy!" he yelled again.
"Jaden, we just woke up about a minute ago, how can you still be tired?" Alexis questioned.
"Hey, over there!" some kids from Ra yellow said while running towards Jaden and Alexis.
"Cool, we found others! It turns out we're not the only ones left on this island! Oh thank goodness!" an Obelisk blue student said.
"Look, it's Sarge and Alexis!" Hassleberry said.
"Hassleberry?" Jaden said, "Why are you guys so happy to see us?"
Hassleberry replied,"Because everyone is disappearing around here. Chazz, Atticus, and Bastian have disappeared. We can't even find a reasonable explanation for this. Some people say they're being kidnapped, but that's impossible! I saw Bastion disappear before my very eyes. That rookie never had a chance. And Chazz was just walking around when it happened to h-"
Hassleberry disappeared.
"Did any of you catch any of that?" Jaden asked.
"Help, please help!" Blair said out of breath. She had obviously been running for quite some time, because she almost passed out.
"What is it Blair?" Alexis asked.
"Well I was at the lake when-"
"Let me guess," a yellow jacketed boy said with a smirk on his face, "Your dear friend Marcel disappeared right in front of your very eyes. How pathetic. We have bigger problems to deal with, like figuring out how to stop people from disappearing."
"No, no," Blair said back angrily, "Marcel is okay. It's just that I was at the lake trying to figure out why everyone was disappearing, when I saw this girl on a row boat heading straight for Academy Island. She had the prettiest hair and clothing. Her hair was brown with red streaks in it, while she was wearing a white skirt with red lines on it, and a red blouse. But I'm getting off subject. When she got here, she looked like she had been beaten up pretty badly. She had dried blood on her arm, and bruises on her face, arms, and legs. She needs help. She is too heavy for me to carry her, so maybe one of you could carry her to nurse Montain."
"I'll go with you Blair," Jaden said.
"Me too!" Alexis said.
So the three headed off into the darkness, and finally found the lake with the row boat in it.
"Hello?" Blair said, "I'm back and I brought help."
"Blair? Oh I'm so glad you're here! I didn't know if I was going to make it if you didn't come back!" the whole time, she was staring intensely at Jaden. He looked at her back.
"Jaden? Oh my gosh! Jaden! It's you!" the mystery girl said, "I didn't know we would find you here! Oh, wait, what would the rest say? Jaden, why are you going to a dueling school?"
"To improve my dueling skills of course! By the way, what happened to you, and what's your name?" Jaden asked.
"My name's Arlia," Arlia passed out.
