Arc en Ciel
The rain tapped lightly on Rakka's window pane. A crack of shining, lighting flashed through the sky, stabbing the ground beyond the walls. Rakka shot up from bed, the lightning jolted her awake.
Rakka looked out the window into the gloomy landscape. Rakka frowned, her wings began to droop, "today is going to be a wet day." Rakka thought miserably looking at her fluffy charcoal wings.
"I better get ready." Rakka said tearing her vision away from the window.
At breakfast everyone looked equally as gloomy, even the young feathers, whom decided to join them for breakfast. "It's so gray outside!" moaned Kana, in between bites of a butter roll. Everyone nodded, "we have to make the most of today." Suggested Nemu, nobody said anything.
Nemu was right, though the sky gets sad, doesn't mean they have to. Rakka smiled as she took her place at the table."You seem cheerful Rakka, feeling better?" asked Hikari, Rakka nodded. She caught a cold a few days ago, but now has fully recovered. "Yes I'm feeling better." She replied,
"What Nemu said, sounded like something, Kuu would say." The others looked at each other then nodded,
"I wonder how Kuu and Reki are doing." Said Hikari, putting butter on the table,
"I miss Reki!" cried Hana,
"Don't worry. You'll see her again someday." Hushed Hikari, Rakka smiled.
Thought Rakka,"Well wherever they are, I hope it isn't raining there." Scoffed Kana, everyone laughed.
"Yeah!" laughed Rakka, the mood remained cheerful though out breakfast.
On the way to work, Rakka walked down the path way leading to the temple. "This morning, we made our own sunshine, didn't we? No one else seems gloomy anymore." Rakka thought, peering at the sky from under her umbrella, feeling the cold wind sting her wings.
"Soon the sun will come out."
At sunset Rakka walked down the path to Old Home. The sun, showed its face after a day filled of dreaded sad rain clouds. The sky was coloured reds, oranges, soft purples, and light and dark blue patches of sky, and cloud.
Rakka thought, turning around. "A rainbow!" she cried, after seeing it's beautiful colours. Rakka ran towards Old Home, shouting "everyone! A rainbow!" she yelled, everyone opened their windows to look out and see what all the commotion was about."How pretty." Breathed Hikari,
Thought Rakka,"Make the most of today. Even on a rainy day, a rainbow will surely brighten your day."A/N: I hope everyone enjoyed it, it was really enjoyable to write actually.
