Dimitri POV
I couldn't feel anything from the cold water and from the blood loss. The darkness was some what comforting. It was relaxing , and the silence was infinite. Suddenly i felt pressure. The pressure goes from been a discomfort to been unbreedable. Then a voice, a really frantic voice was crying out from far away "Come on Dimitri wake up" Her voice sounded scratchy. The pressure on my chest increased. "...3, 4, 5, 6, 7…" She was counting and the pressure on my chest continued. "...10, 11, 12, 13…" I couldn't breath. My lungs felt like they were about to burst. "...20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28…" Everything was hurting, and finally I was gaining conscious. "29, 30" Her hands left my chest. Suddenly i felt my head been tilted up. Her lips on mine, a hot breath through my mouth. The feeling of my lungs continued. Until I started to cough water. " Oh thank God you're alive" she sounded relieved. She was relieved that I was alive! Then I heard a cry that sounded strangled, I guess it was me gasping for air. "It's okay. You're alive" She wrapped her arm around me. Somehow I noticed that she was holding half of my body on her laps. Never the less she was soothing me like many times I have done it with her. Rose. The girl that many underestimated. The girl that changed many lives. The girl that has gone through a lot. Rose the one that made me open up to her. My Roza that I have fallen in love with. My Roza that I would give my life for her. My Roza that I treated her as a blood bag. Roza that even with all I had put her through she still loves me. "Shh Shh it's okay im here just like i promised." In that instant I remembered the most beautiful moment of my life. The moment where my body and soul was complete. The love that she still gives me. The thing is I just realized it too late. She was not mine to take. I had my chance, and I threw it away. I shut her off. "Shh. It's okay. I'm here. Shh. You're alive" Yet she was still here looking after me. Somehow I asked her why? or I thought I did. It didn't matter because her answer gave me a reason to live. Not that she will let me die. If I've learned anything from her it was that she doesn't stop until achieved her objective, and that she is stubborn. " I saved you because I love you."
