A young Quaker boy was wondering how he should act in a world that seemed to be dominated by malice, intolerance and hate. As he meditated the light within him began to speak and it said,

-Manage your affairs peacefully, do not falter in the way you think you should manage your life.

-Do not persecute others for having opinions than your own, remember that they to are grasping for some understanding of me.

-All that is to be known by men I shall let be discovered when man, any man, is ready to hear it, do not, therefore, be impatient about gaining the answers that you seek.

-Whilst you live, remember that you cannot be more or less than what I have created you to be; and remember that no matter how sinful you think you are, you are yet my creation, made in my own likeness, and therefore of enormous value to me.

-I do not favour some people over others, every man is my child and has a rite to call out to me, "Father," whether they are your religion or not, whether they practice the faith the same way you do or not.

-Do not forget that life is very sacred, that is why when you sit at the dinner table it is good to thank either me or that which you are eating for filling you and giving its own life to you.

-Even if your station in life is low, remember that there will always be people higher or lower than you.

-I am not a God to divide, I am a God to unite and fulfil. If you, therefore, think you know, I shall empty you until you know nothing, then I will fill you until your mouth will not stop flowing with the words that I have given you, and you shall be omniscient over all, you shall be of my light and you shall recognize me within you until the day you die!

-Do not over extend yourself; you were not made to hold that much upon your shoulders; my burden then, is light.

-Remember that it is one thing to say that you see the light, but quite another to walk towards it!

-Mine is the light of life, if therefore you ever feel unfulfilled, remember that I am everywhere and that there is no place that I am not.

-Glory be to he that seeks to be one with me, for that one shall receive all that I can give in the way of the spirit.
