Cody's mother is disappointed with his choice because white is tradition and, according to her, it looks good on everyone - that's a lie, but Cody doesn't point that out because Mother already seems ready to start a fight over his fashion taste. He puts on the jacket under her sharp stare, "My dearest, this is a lovely suit but it isn't what you're supposed to wear on a special day like this."

Cody tells her something about the lovely work she did with the flowers and the decoration and insists this suit will be just fine because navy blue is the new white.

"But Cody!" She insists. At the age of eighty seven the woman's stubbornness only got worst. "Traditionally the grooms are supposed to wear white in these ceremonies!"

"Yes, well." Cody says, brushing his hair. "Blue goes better with my new hair. Don't you know, gray and blue match. White makes me feel old." He examines his reflection on the mirror. "Which I am, but no need to let the secret out."

His mother shakes her head, "You think you're old." But doesn't push the subject any further.

When Cody meets Nick he's relieved to see his soon to be husband - the legal kind of husband, he reminds himself and feels a sudden rush of joy - has chosen to wear charcoal gray. He can actually hear Mother complaining how tradition is being thrown out the window each passing year. He's also quite relieved to hear Nick mumble a very pleased, "Yum! Lets rush this thing up."

"Shut up. My mother is one step away from killing us, you destroy one more wedding tradition and she'll run us over with her wheel chair."

Nick laughs. Cody does not. "I'm not kidding, she's done it to Murray already when he offered the Roboz as our second best man."
