The Defenders of MapleStory
This is my first MapleStory fan fiction. I'm basing the story off of the Warriors series and also The New Prophecy: Warriors. And of course, I don't own MapleStory. Some Korean guys do and appearantly they get all of the good stuff XD
Chapter 1: The Birth of The Defender
He lay in the bed letting the window open so the wind could touch his face, the wind of the Mainland. The wind that buffeted his face had just abruptly ceased. He wiped his watered eyes as he scrambled out of the cabin and watched the world unfurl.
"Finally! I'm here!" the young boy shouted with excitement.
The beating of the fan-propelled jets slowed to a mere hum. He looked at the white-rocked walls and the metal that hung from them, swinging to and fro as the weight of people jumped onto them. He gaped at the gorgeous view in the distance. He could see an ocean dotted with green trees and a spectular meadow. Beyond that, he could a tall, rocky mountain. The biggest one he had ever seen.
"Anytime now!" the man in blond with a captain's uniform on interrupted.
"Oh sorry Captain Shanks!" he immediately replied, flushing with embrassment.
"Newbies..." he sighed as he went back into the Captain's cabin.
He picked up his luggage and unboarded the ship. He had brown disheveled hair and was light skinned. He shifted his green headband to a more comfortable position and held his sword proudly. It always fascinated him how Crusaders could defeat the strongest of monsters with one blow.
Unsure of where to go, he jumped onto the chain and climbed down. Upon getting off, he turned and was staring into the mouth of a gold-tooth shark.
He gulped with horror as it roared in his face. An explosion of panic with off in his chest as he climbed the rope, frantically trying to get as far away as he could from it.
In the heat of panic, he unnoticably ran into the backside of a woman wearing a bunny costume. Toppling over her, he looked at her.
"Uh, hi.." he said nervously.
"Get offa me!" she shouted as she kicked him off of her.
Landing in front of a brown, wooden stall, he picked himself off of the ground and looked at the blue haired director.
"Hello. Are new to Victoria Island?" he asked.
"Uh, yeah," the boy responded.
"Ok and what job are you willing to persue?"
"A Warrior!" he replied with pride.
"Great, now I need your name in order to make a ticket to Perion for your job advancement."
"Ok. My name is Raishawn!"
The man finished scribbling on a piece of parchment and handed it to him.
"Just flash this to a cab for your discount and he'll take you to Perion. Have a good day."
Raishawn jumped onto a chain and swung to the other side and showed the grumpy cab driver the discount ticket.
"Urggh...that'll be 150 mesos," the bad driver grumbled.
After handing him the fee, he stepped into the cab and they drove off to Perion, where Raishawn's destiny will unfold and three others.
