New Year, New Revelations

Though Nya is steadily dating Jay, Cole cannot help but feel a little something still for Nya. Little does he know the feeling runs both ways… AUTHOR'S NOTE: I normally ship Jaya (Jay and Nya) with a passion, but this drabble is in honor of a good friend of mine that does not. She ships Cole and Nya, for reasons I cannot always claim to understand.

New Year, New Revelations

The New Year was approaching, and Sensei Wu had declared a New Year's celebration. Jay insisted on cooking, Cole was doing decorations, Zane was setting up, Kai was handling the lights, and Sensei had charge of drinks. Lloyd and Nya would provide entertainment, an acrobatic lantern dance.

Heading to the courtyard, Cole bumped into Nya, resplendent in her costume. His heart squeezed. She was so pretty, so spirited, so… desirable.

"Happy New Year, Nya," he said softly.

Nya looked back at him, eyes lighting on his dress clothes, his shiny black hair, his physique… She smiled.

"Happy New Year, Cole."
