Author's Notes: It's been a while since I've posted anything but this is an idea that popped into my head because of one of my friends over at Batman's Writers Unite. We were going back and forth about one of Catwoman's suits. She gave me this funny idea and I decided to run with it. I'm planning to write a follow up but this will have to do for now! Italics represent character thoughts. Enjoy!
Batman runs across Catwoman on patrol one night and is bewildered by all the red welts across her chest. Immediately thinking the worst, he starts checking her out and then Catwoman gets agitated and paws his hand away. "You're over-reacting." Batman subtly frowns. "I thought you were hurt."
Catwoman pauses for a moment before smiling. "Not hurt in the way you're thinking handsome." Batman still frowning, crosses his arms. "What did you do?"
Catwoman slowly starts backing up to jump off the roof but Batman starts advancing on her. Right as Catwoman is about to jump off the roof, Batman grabs her arm. Catwoman smirks smugly and presses up close to Batman. "Well, dark and handsome, if you really want to help me out... Why don't you come back to my place? I could use some TLC..."
She winks at him while inching her arms up to hug him. 'I can't exactly tell him that I got bit up by mosquitoes. This new suit was a terrible idea.' Batman stops frowning and wraps his arms around her. Leaning down to her ear, he murmurs, "I told you the new suit was a terrible idea."
Catwoman pushes him away, rolls her eyes and folds her arms across her chest. "If I remember correctly, you were the one who suggested it in the first place after we.."
She was caught off guard when Batman pulled her back to him and kissed her soundly. "I seem to recall someone enjoyed herself very much. As a matter of fact, would you care for a repeat performance?"
Catwoman softly caressed his face before murmuring softly, "Race you to the apartment!"
She jumped off the roof while laughing. Batman could only stare at her retreating form for a moment before smirking. 'If she thinks she's going to win this time, she's sadly mistaken!'
