This sorta came to me while watching the PV for 'The worst carnival'. I'm not sure if this should be RinLen, though I ship it like mad. For this story it is either RinLen or no ships concerning Rin and Len at all.
Vocaloid ain't mine. The fact that it is on should have already proven its point.
"What did you call me here for, Kagamine?" The blonde boy known to the Middle school as Honne Len asked the girl who had requested for him to meet her at the back of the school.
The girl, Kagamine Rin, fidgeted in her place. "Umm... Honne-san... please take this!" she blurted out and handed him a neatly-folded note. Len took the note and unfolded it before Rin's eyes.
Only a single word was written on the note: Daisuki. I love you.
Len laughed coldly. "Seriously, Kagamine? For someone in the top class, you are dreadfully stupid. Do you expect me, Honne Len, to be won over by your pathetic love letter? Actually it can't be considered as a love letter since it has only one word on it," Len smirked, ripping the note into two and throwing it into a nearby puddle. Rin's eyes watered and her bottom lip trembled. She had expected a rejection, yes, but not one this harsh.
She made her way over to the puddle on her shaky legs. She knelt down into the puddle, soiling her school uniform as she did so.
"What was the point of inviting me here just to hand me a stupid note? It was a waste of both our times as we both know that there is no way that I would ever like a short, childish and flat loser with no friends and still wears a ribbon in her hair," Len continued, Every insult Len said was like a bullet through her heart.
Rin turned her head to face the smirking boy and glared at him with her teary eyes. Standing up, she walked over to him and slapped him across the face.
"Done with your insults yet, Honne? I can't believe I actually fell for a bastard like you. Have a real nice holiday ahead of you," Rin muttered and walked away.
That was their last day of Middle school and it was certainly one to remember. It was also the day Rin first started cutting herself with a pocket knife. The first day of High school was coming up soon. I wonder how things will go for Rin and Len upon re-meeting each other as High-schoolers...
